Thanks for this video. I have a GE and the company won't tell me how to do the removal of the top. This answered my question on how to do it, at least it tells me more than GE wanted to share. Great video and good precise instructions.

What kind of screw driver thingie do you use to take out the burner shield?

What about taking the whole stove apart? Gas to apt is shut off by ConEd. So how do I disassemble side walls? Possible. It's in a tight space. Rather not destroy cabinets.

on a old gas stove maker sure to add some type of liquid to loosen up the rust or you will break bolt head
