Nice, I built one with a chainsaw motor. 50mph , but the brakes needed upgraded 👍👌

Lol I did this same build a couple years ago but with a weed eater motor and mounted it behind the wheel, at the time I was young and didn’t have much knowledge and what ended up happening was that the mounting method that I used was to weak and I also used the same clutch that the weed eater used which resulted in the chain getting thrown off after going faster than 10km an hour but that wasn’t it, the weed eater was at least 7 years old and ran like crap, pull starter barely worked and took at least 50 pulls to start. Eventually I decided to pull apart the engine to see how it worked and then when I tried to put back in the piston rings I broke one. That’s when I decided to throw out the engine.What’s funny is that now 4 years later I wanted to give it another go so I just bought a proper engine and it happened to be the exact same one as yours 😂 hasn’t come yet but this time I’m going to build a scooter frame and do it properly. Wish me luck.

I love the build but I really think you should have bought a smaller chain break broke the chain moved the engine closer giving you allot more foot room and it would have allowed you to scoot the rear axle all the way up so it wouldn’t get tourqed out of place
@markwillplay6 жыл бұрын
You could of used a chain break with a master link and make the chain go around the metal instead of cutting it.
@GrindingGarage6 жыл бұрын
+Mark Kraska I thought about that but my chain brake isn’t effective on #25 chain it is made for #40 and it will just crush the #25 link and leave a crushed bit of metal where I attempted to break it instead of breaking the pin out, so I decided to just cut the bar. But the motor mount i put in definitely makes up for cutting the bar out, the bed frame I used for the motor mount is extremely sturdy.

Awesome man...i just picked up the exact same color and scooter with a new 49cc motor already mounted n hooked up with throttle...needs gas tank installed n brake hooked up but it might not work reading your comments since its flipped around now...havnt messed with it...i want to mount a 212 on it...do you know if the stock razor sprocket will work with a 35 chain? Instead of the t8 or whatever they call it.....

I know this is an old video but, if you somehow happen to see this would you mind sending me the link to the engine you used? Thanks!

You really want 35h chain . 25 gets pulled out too fast with too much power. My 50cc is snapped head bolts, so I had to use bigger head bolts! It's making too much for 25 chain

What chain and sprocket did you use on this configuration? that looks like a t8f sprocket on the engine.. do i need a t8f sprocket and chain?

I could give you some tips for sure, you were too cold in this video for sure. Also, tacking ain’t welding remember that! Try some pattern when you are running beads instead of just pushing or dragging straight. That’s about all I can give ya without knowing your gas mixture or wire size. Keep burning man!
