Honestly, Charlie is 1000% justified here. Alan has lived there rent free for YEARS and this is one of the only times Charlie has ever asked him for money and he penny pinches him every step of the way. Charlie was even whilling to let Alan get away with stealing his gas lol

here in Australia the price is currently 4.66 USD per gallon of unleaded 91 (though very dependent on state, and even location in state) while the price of unleaded 98 is 5.27 USD per gallon

ONE OF THE GREATEST EPISODES!!!! You know I somewhat was on Alans side (He might have got his money back if was so needy) up until 1:55, he couldn't let it go. He had Charlie lose a lot of his gas and ended up walking a long way and nearly had his mouth burned, AND YET STILL asked for the a measly 24 dollars when Charlie called it even. Charlie had ever right to roast him alive, no jury would convict him!

I could hardly watch this episode because Alan is not only stingy but incredibly ungrateful. No one would ever have the audacity to charge a ridiculous $38 from the person who has let him AND his son live rent-free in a Malibu beach house for YEARS. On top of that, Charlie is constantly paying for dinner, drinks, movies and all that stuff. Why doesn't Alan consider all this?

It’s not the liquid that burns, it’s the fumes. And if Charlie can smell it it’s clearly still on Alan’s mouth. Even is it not enough to actually ignite or cause real damage. I wouldn’t recommend taking the risk of finding out.

This is when Alan should've been banned for good. Charlie has let him stay there for nothing for six years. If he only takes a few bucks from you once in a while, I'd say it's a blessing, all things considered. Instead, Alan decides to steal his gas and leave him stranded somewhere?
