Finally someone who gets to the point instead of the history of shrubs, electricity and who invented the word, "landscaping."

I only have a battery operated Stihl chainsaw. No other battery equipment. Im really enjoying the way the chainsaw handles because it's rather light weight and its ease of use for a non tree service person. Good video I've thought about adding a battery operated hedge trimmer. Those lorelpetalums never stop growing. That dark red variety that you have is a great accent shrub or hedge. Looks great paired with knockout roses or ligustrum.

Yes battery has its advantages. I enjoy the the no exhaust in my face on the hedge trimmers.

The battery stuff cant last a heavy duty professional crew all day, it just cant and the price is too high. Great review as always!

Yea long all day pruning you would need a lot of batteries.

After running each electric vs gas with several of each units for many years. I like them all! Gas wins hands down in my opinion for big cuts! Electric wins over gas for starting! Gas wins over electric easily comparing cost. Buy several of each and win!

Haven't touched a gas trimmer for over 5 years. Love my Husqvarna trimmers! Quite, fast start up, lighter and wont burn shrubs from the exhaust.

I have the Toro 60 volt 24" hedge clipper, runs close to a hour ... power is as good as a 21cc gas trimmer. Battery powered equipment from Toro, Echo, Husqvarna, Stihl has finally gotten to where it needs to be.

@@PlemonsLawnCare Definitely the biggest issue now is deciding which battery system to invest in. I love my Echo gear, but the Toro commercial battery 21" mower cuts SO good. I dont like the Toro trimmers nearly as much, though. I dont want $1200 of Echo batteries AND $1500 of toro batteries lol

The extra cost of the batteries gets compensated by not having to pay for fuel after a while. I guess gas is a lot cheaper in the US than here in Europe so maybe less of a thing for you guys.

My hedge trimmer frequently jams. I know I didn't spend over $200, if that. I'm a homeowner with a small corner property with hedges. This makes me think I need better equipment.

Battery-powered: Pro=cuts the cord for more freedom. CONS: 1). Tends to be heavier with batter and long usage up and down height. 2). Charges can hold so much, than one expects to have a second Battery. 3). When the lights don't come on, no charging available so one wonders whether the charger or the battery is bad. Either is very expensive to replace and in my case, I've looked everywhere for parts for the Snapper HT584, and no battery or charger shows up, KZbin doesn't show troubleshooting and thus, one expects to buy a new one for this only 3-yr old hedge trimmer. Not very good selling points.
