The stijl blower that sits on your back like a backpack , those things leave both of those for dead , though they are meant for more commercial applications, but looking at your yard , it might be a good choice for that yars haha

This is just a demonstration of the equipment. At the time the battery blower was the only thing available. There was no battery backpack blowers

Thank you, I appreciate it. The noise of the electric blower is one thing people don't think about when comparing to the gas powered. Electric may be quieter on the decibel meter but definitely sounds louder to the ear.

The husqvarna 525bx has the trigger aligned with the tube as well as av system like the stihl.

The Husqvarna 525bx would be the equivalent to the Stihl 86C if you're in the market for a Husqvarna

I run two Stihl BG50's at the same time and it pushes alot of snow and leaves. Only cost me $360 for both those blowers.

I'd buy a battery powered blower if it could run at least 30 minutes on high. Very impressive cfm and speed specs with very reasonable prices. I'm old and have arthritis, and I got a battery power Ego trimmer which is heavier than my old gas Echo top line trimmer, but it's very powerful and will run at least 45 minutes on mid power and over 30 on high. I also have a battery sp lawnmower that is much lighter than my old gas sp mower by 25 lbs. Runs for an hour. But these blowers must suck a lot more power and the down side is short run times. A commercial operator would need $1200 of batteries for one person per day. Just like these worthless EV cars that are great when they are charged, but can become a nightmare waiting in long lines to get a charge every couple of hours of drive time. Too expensive and not enough run time.

You can get fairly decent run time but have to use the 5.0 battery and now the blower is heavy. My one main gripe about the battery blowers and this is all manufacturers. The performance numbers are misleading because now they give you high CFM but low airspeed and without the air speed you don't have anything. From my experience, the battery blowers blow leaves better than grass clippings. I bought the new Echo eForce 5800 and with one 5.0 battery it weighs 20 lbs and it has pretty good run time, if you're conservative with the throttle but if you're going to use it like a real backpack blower for work, it's going to need three batteries and weigh 35 lbs.

@@sololawnprofessional Thx for the input. I'm pushing 80 and weight of equipment matters a lot if I'm using equipment with one hand and don't have a shoulder strap all the time. I know I can get one and that might take care of the problem, but the lower weight of the gas models are a big plus when your old with arthritis. And I have ear muffs for the loud noise. But I do like my battery Green Works lawn mower. Had a 80v Kobalt that was fantastic until the pc board burned up last year and they don't sell replacements. So battery powered stuff is not always care free. And they probably won't dell parts for any of this battery equipment 5 years down the road. So my gas 26 year old Echo blower sure has done well for it's bang for the buck. But for about the same weight, I can get twice the power in one of these new models.

Get an Echo! . Higher CFMs for the Price Point. .Stihl $340 444 CFMs. Echo 2560 $249 456 CFM . Save $91 and get 12 CFMs More! . The Echo 2520 is 453 CFMS for $169!

Thank you for your comment based on the numbers alone, the 2520 looks like the better bargain, but I wouldn't buy that. I would have to get the 2620 version because it has the extended engine life and other features that just make it better. I've been running Echo equipment my whole life and that's what I use for my business. But I have to tell you the Stihl sh86 is the best hand blower on the market The build quality is amazing. Almost vibration free. Just a really nice piece of equipment. But for the price of the stihl you could just buy the Echo 580 and have a backpack blower with way more power than any hand blower.

@chazmichaelmichaels88 for normal hand blower activity, blown off the decks, driveway. The battery power is better. For extended use gas powered is better. You just put gas in it. You don't have to spend an extra $150 for an extra battery or Wait for it to charge

@sololawnprofessional I understand, so despite a few minutes of better performance, the electric is useless. Sure it is fine for an everyday home owner, but why would they spend more?

@chazmichaelmichaels88 they've started the ban on gas blowers in my area So now this is the only option. I just got the new Echo E Force battery powered backpack blower for my lawn business just to be in compliance
