Speaking for a guy over 50, who games with guys all over 50 and who's eyesight is not what it used to be you are not the only folks using that house rule about touching templates. IMHO, it was obviously designed by someone with 20/20. ;)

Love this game, keep posting videos! Great finally to see a WarRig in a game :D A few minor errors You don't evade explosions ;) When you sidemount weapons they can shoot to both sides, don't need one on both the left and right, not sure if you actually did this :)

Page 44 of the rulebook under Explosions specifies Damage from explosions CAN be evaded

Me and my buddies played with a War Rig in one of our games; gotta say, not a very viable choice in a 1v1v1 matchup with only 50 Cans per player. Also, nice idea with the "touching the template" house-ruling; we tried playing with being able to just handle the templates however we wanted, and the game took three hours. Your idea will hopefully mean our games will be a little faster, now.

i might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the starting gate is actually the start/finish gate. So while gate 1 is the second gate you cross, you will still cross 4 as you have to come back around to cross the start gate.

odd question, but @ 2:41 Owen says you have to decide what side, left or right you have mounted a weapon on. I cant find anything in the rulebook or FAQ saying that side arcs for the war rig are different that side arcs for the other vehicle types.

Quick rules correction: you don't get to roll evade dice against the damage caused by explosions.

Hmmm. Slime War Rig with front and side rams is going to have an easier time triggering Pinball, can still get Hot Start and Hell For Leather, and the Tractor Anchor trick will let you fall behind when you need to. You'll never get any audience votes off the fool thing, but it's still kind of mean. Add Boarding Party and a mix of grenades and molotovs so you can shoot while ramming and you've got some real offense going.

Ash any chance a Team Yankee tank would be about the right size to play as a tank in Gaslands? Hot wheels does not make many if any tanks. I was thinking if the size fits I could grab a TY tank. Can you help out the community and tell us.

Yes I think Team Yankee, TANKS and Flames of War tanks will work. For reference a Sherman tank is about 19 feet long, about the same as an extended cab pickup or a Suburban.

Figure 8 DOES have 4 gates, man. the want you to actually complete the 8, so the start line is the 4th gate also!

the first gate is classed as Starting Line the next gate is gate 1 then gate 2 and then finish line. They have an updated image in the FAQ.

Their vehicles are converted Matchbox, Hot Wheels, etc. The big rig looks like one of the Hot Wheels Track Stars series. Bits are from everywhere, but 40K is a rich source.

Nice game. But you can't evade damage from explosions and when you are talking about side mounted Explosive rams, side weapons give you both sides for the price of 1. Cheers, keep up the good work.
