Great video! My ex husband (sex addict, narcissistic psychopath) did this non stop but never succeeded to brainwash me and that pissed him off so much that he even went so far as to use physical abuse when I stuck to my reality and not his gaslighting. He literally tried to beat his lies into my head. This was even 2-3 years after all the sex addiction "recovery" he has done. Some people just cannot be helped.

It’s the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. My intuition was absolutely spot on but I betrayed myself by trying to believe his lies for years. It stressed me out so much that I believe it was the root cause of my brain tumour diagnosis. My diagnosis didn’t upset me as much as the lies and gaslighting! I think that speaks volumes.

Thank you!!!! I’ve been gaslighted a lot over a 3 year relationship. Betrayal Trauma is the worst. I knew something wasn’t right the whole time. Now it dealing with his inability to hold any space for my pain and anger. I found out a month ago everything I thought was happening was. So the gaslighting and the attempts to make me feel like it’s my fault keeps happening. Porn is horrible! More destructive then I can put into words. Thank you. Thank you! The lost wife!

8:51 I’m marking this spot for the record. This is my situation. I am so confused about how I should feel. I definitely feel horrible, I feel like I’m overreacting. My husband of 25 years has been using porn for 15 years. I just found out on August 1, 2022. He’s been gaslighting me for so long. I had no idea. I had him on a moral pedestal. Life is never going to be the same. I loved him so much. I’m losing it.

@@KristinSnowden Thank you Kristin. As much as I need this, I’m unable to come up with the funding. It’s been 22 days and still no help in KY. Yesterday, I did manage to talk to a counselor on telehealth, where I was told to watch porn with my porn addicted husband, have sex with him whenever he wants, think of another man when I have sex with him, and he will be cured in 21 days as long as he doesn’t look at porn. That was unsettling at best. Your videos are helpful and I will continue to watch and learn from you. ❤️

I don't know if it's gaslighting. Earlier this year I found out my husband has a "secret" female friend. It's somebody he met commuting to work years ago. Its been over 8 years since he changed jobs , but they still kept in touch. I had no idea about her or their "frienship". He has female friends and he knows I don't mind at all, that's why it hurt and I can't understand why he kept it a secret. He doesn't keep her number in his cellphone, he knows it by heart. Of course he said that nothing has ever happened between them and that he won't communicate with her anymore. He also said he erased her messages because they bothered me, but he actually erased them before he knew I had seen them. In everybody's eyes he's a great guy and the best husband. I don't know what to believe and I have this feeling... I feel miserable and I keep it inside just because I don't want to cause drama. I guess I just want to know if I'm overreacting

As someone who has been in domestic violence since childhood…. You can’t stop the cycle. You have to leave. You have to learn about trauma and trauma reenactment and you need steer clear of relationships for awhile. You cannot fix an abuser.

I appreciate you sharing your story and experience. A little context might be helpful for this video: many of this live webinar's attendees are betrayed partners of sex addiction and other addictions. Many of their partners are trying to get recovery from their addiction and are working on changing themselves and their patterns. So this webinar is geared toward helping the partner who is being gaslighted better identify when its happening and engage tools to help him/her stop the cycle on his/her end (h/she cannot control another person's behaviors and choices but one can change how they might respond to them). I agree that if there is physical violence or serious safety issues of any kind, someone should leave immediately and seek safety. Domestic violence is very serious. I'm so grateful that you're willing to speak up about it and share.

@@KristinSnowden I've been mobbed and gaslighting at work for over 12 years till present. Full of NPD cowards at work and will end up exposing themselves.. I'm a top worker, jealous of me big time and of my money and condo too. Defamation of character. Saying I'm a stalker, I drink, I'm crazy. All bs. Managers are scared of the bullies, they do nothing, union, police are all totally useless too. Toxic workplace in healthcare. Been working 38 years and never been suspended. Action speaks louder than words. But this crap never ends trying to scare the women at work, all the insecure and toxic women. I will never quit due to these lazy bums with no life. These 2 guys should be locked up and have the manager fired.

I don’t think gas lighting and addiction have to coincide, you don’t have to be an addict to lie , gas lighting is another term for lying

Totally agree. Behaviors of addicts often include gaslighting, lying, and manipulation. Gaslighting is not a behavior exclusive only to addicts. Many people gaslight, lie and manipulate.

My husband is an avoidant and refuses to have conversations about his lengthy affair and double life! He expects forgiveness because we are Christian and I am expected to act like it never happened. He is clearly a sex addict and refuses to address his sex addiction. He slept with neighbors 15 yo daughter, 2 incidents of aggressive sexual behavior with women at work and recently fired for 2nd offense. Year long affair. Multiple emotional affairs with woke. He found on Facebook typically former classmates . Enmeshed incestually to his mother and an alcoholic. He triangulates constantly. In treatment called his girlfriend everyday while he was supposed to be in recovery! This is not an exhaustive list of his behaviors.

If you really believe he’s had any sexual contact with a minor you need to call 911 or report him to the police immediately. That is offender behavior and a crime.
