I feel like the sentiment of "This video is a bit different than what I normally make" gets thrown around too freely these days.
Hey guys, what's up?
I went to an abandoned shale mine in the outback, and I thought to myself that I'd play around with getting some footage and see if I could make a little costume highlight with a "cinematic" look. So naturally, the project spiralled away from me and took on a life of its own until it became the video that you see before you. I had a ball working with the deep, rich lore (that was simultaneously fuzzy around the edges) of this weird character.
Thumbnail images courtesy of FoolishPaul (no instagram handle) and @mickylightpainter , who both graciously allowed me to edit their still photos from the weekend at the ruins.
Hope you guys find this interesting!

This is absolutely amazing! I love the bag with it, and how post apoc like this easily gets absurdistic when you do 'normal' stuff in it. Loved the shots at the end with the wineglass!

Yeah I love the combination of the normal everyday with the ruined wasteland, it feels very cold war propaganda (or maybe that's just me)

"And now for something completely different" 😁 I enjoyed the esthetics and execution. If it's based on the Stalker universe, as I assumed, then you definitely captured the spirit. For some reason the lone mountainous form bothered me, as if it was out of place. Perhaps it's years of living in mostly flat regions of Russia and expecting everything Stalker-related being set there. But that one shot of a reflection on top of a rusty barrel - that was scrumptious 👌

Thankyou! I was definitely going for a Stalker vibe, but I did also want to capture the cliffs of the valley that I was in. I'm glad you enjoyed the reflected shot, I'm particularly proud of that one lol

This was very cool and creepy. No idea what this character is but I enjoyed and you obviously had a good time making it.

Sadly I didn't take any footage while making this, but I can certainly ruin another suit hahaha
