Trust me, what Richard said is 100% right. If they showed all the details, the videos would be hours long, & they’d lose half the viewers in that boring stuff! I’ve been building cars for many years, so trust me, I know exactly how it works.

Yeah I totally agree. I personally got into Fast n Loud really late (like 2 years ago) but fell in love instantly with the show and all the different people who worked there over the seasons. I was really gutted last year when Richard Rawlings was on Joe Rogan and said Fast N Loud is now done but after he went into a bit more detail about his future plans and how excited he was to be out of that contract I was eager to see what he had planned and now with this kind of format for the builds and even separate stuff like Gas Monkey Grub and the Monkey Trap podcast thing I can honestly say I wouldn't ever miss Fast N Loud now because I think we all have really good if not better replacement content by the same people. So I couldn't be happier except to say selfishly that I could watch daily update videos of this build stuff even if not much happens and I'm sure most of us watching could possibly agree that more build videos or longer build vids is a positive. They should set cameras up all round the shop for 24 hour live streams. I wanna watch them sleep. Nah joking but not joking. Great episode anyway always look forward to the next one.

@@christopherjohnson5320 I think so too. I know there’s probably a lot of work into editing I’m sure of that. I personally work like see them working on the it. Not speed it up. I guess the real question is if he understands why the axle is located 4 inches front of center on the old bus chassis? Also if he realizes or understands the affectt moving the axle forward will do to the handling / steering on the 5500 chassis . Saying nothing will change except location of the wheel is wrong because caster will most definitely be affected .

Chase, us old guys who had to align old straight axels used alum wedges to rock the I beam forward or back. What that means is it doesn't matter what it reads when you u bolt it to the springs. Suck them up, measure castor, unbolt the axel and trap the wedge. Aligning Fords twin I beam this trick could save you hours. Shove a zero degree bushing in above the top ball joint, measure castor, then bolt in a wedge. After that you simply need to use that goofy bushing to set camber (this would litterally save you an hour aligning a twin I beam vs trying to use that bushing to set both camber and caster)

I know it's two years later but I have an idea for the trim trimming. Make a 4-6 inch buck on the the big piece with a bondo brick. Wax, parchment paper or a big goober of carnuba for full release... Slide finished (hard) buck over seam to perfectly align the bumpy bits. Tack backside. Not necessary (but maybe a time saver).

Why aren't you putting air suspension on that? You could redrill the main and second leaf and the center bolt hole in the axle to move it ahead a few inches or you could cut the spring mounts off the old fram and put them on the new frame.
