The Iowa State Fairgrounds, I know it well. I was born and raised in Des Moines. The fairgrounds is where I learned how to drive in 1963. Each summer I mowed lawns around the neighborhood just so I could go to the fair. Many good memories of days gone by. Thanks for posting.

Sam . You just keep on hitting them out of the park ! What a great guy Tom was with that '68 Camaro and he had to be in his late '70's . And l don't recall seeing a 1960 Ventura before , gosh it was pretty . I've been to a major classic car show today (10thJuly ) and there was an immaculate 56/7 Belair there , never seen one in the flesh , it's a big car ! And there were a few very nice cars there but we simply aren't even close to what you guys across the pond put on , fantastic ! One of the things that always strikes me about watching this is the people driving the cars. You hear young people talking how slow "old farts" drive and when you look at these guys the outward appearance is now different but in spirit they are still the young whipper snappers that were blasting these down the road 50 years ago.
