I had this surgery Tuesday August 17th 2021.... first 2 weeks I was on clear liquids . I lost 31 pounds. This is the best decision I have ever made. 🙏🙏🙏

Today is week 1, had a successful surgery recovering ❤️‍🩹 at home and doing a lot of walking and exercises with upper body and some calf exercises (arms & legs) no sit-us nor push ups that puts a lot of strain on my incisions and sore stomach, very excited on how I’m going to feel and look 8-12 weeks from now i know wife and kids are looking forward to too it as well 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

So it’s been almost 6 weeks since my surgery and I’ve lost 50 lbs, I’m feeling great I’m weighing 221 lbs still on a awesome path to loose 30-35 lbs more and I’ll be at my high school weight back in the 80s can’t wait to go to my reunion they won’t recognize me at all

@@vanessalorenzoni i’m getting mine in the morning for something minor. I’m a little nervous but i’m just curious as to what happens first? Do they just lay you down and instantly put the anesthesia mask on? If so then i won’t be afraid. The main thing i’m afraid of is needles/getting my blood draw which i’d be fine with them doing if i’m already asleep.

I'm having this surgery in 5 days! It's been a long time coming and I'm so thankful. My MIL REALLY needs to go in and get her revision done, as she has broken an ottoman, a loveseat, her bed leans to one side severely, and she has broken 2 of our office chairs. She is so addicted to sugar she just cannot help herself. I fear I may see her bedridden in a broken bed because she isn't even trying anymore, at all. It frustrates and breaks my heart. We were supposed to do the prerequisites together, but she gave up literally second day :/

How long ago did you have your surgery I was on liquids for 2days before surgery they canceled my surgery because of the virus I had the lap band in 2008 and I was down to 132 I started having problems with the lap band so they took it out I gained weight then 2018 I had the vsg now I have very bad acid reflux that meds don't help so now they are going to do the bypass now I wish every day that they will start surgery I'm one of the first patient to have it done are you glad that you did it

@Fadi To be honest the first 2 weeks were tough mentally and physically I would break down crying for no reason and I had no energy food was everything for me I just didn't realize on how much I depended on it. I am now 1 month and 3 weeks out and I was at 317 pds. I am now at 265 pds and losing everyday I wish I would of done it alot sooner its rough in the beginning for pre diet but it goes by and now I'm back to regular food I just can't alot but satisfied.

I saw that there are several types of surgery, this type of surgery. This operation and removal. I'm just wondering which is the better surgery out of the two? What after that? Do you drink vitamins all your life? Are you eating normally with this operation? My cousin had an operation, but not this kind. And she doesn't eat anything because she's not allowed. She has to either feed or water, and in addition, she drinks a lot of vitamins and some pills for the rest of her life.??Does anyone know the answer?
