This is a truely, truely insightful talk! The non-IgE allergies part is definitely needed for all diagnossi for IBS patients. IBS doctors would say you don't have allergy, period ans IgE test is negative......But you suffered clearly by eating something particularly.

That's really neat! I have something akin to IBS though never formally diagnosed and I honestly have no idea what my digestive system is going to do from day to day. It could be fine for nearly a week and then I'll have diarrhea or lots of cramping and urgency out of the blue. Something like what you mentioned that can look for hidden allergies or sensitivities would be great.

Has this person tried an elimination diet? I've had some similar symptoms for a few years now, I am just hearing about EDS and asking doctors if EDS is a possible issue. Reason for asking about the elimination diet us because I've found many foods especially Oily, fatty, sugar, & processed food trigger stomsche flu or food poisoning symptoms. Chicken, Fish, nuts, legumes, all oils (olive oil is the only exception), lots of veggies cause a blockage in the stomache because they won't break down. I don't know if it has been tried, but maybe you will find some relief by pinpointing the triggers.

My daughter was diagnosed with ehlers-danlos, she suffers several problems but here in Brazil there is no specialist, and if there is, it is not for the poor. every time she goes to the doctor she is treated like a virus. My dream is for her to have adequate treatment and respect in times of pain and fatigue

Unfortunately that is in most places from what I have heard. It seems that the UK is doing a lot of work over there now and some doctors in the US as well.

She ordered a "Whole Gut Scintigraphy Transit Study" for me at Stanford. It was able to show that my esophagus and stomach are normal, but my small and large intestine are both pathologically slow.

I am a total fan of her work and line of thought, was trying to put funds together to take my daughter to see her… but once she left Metrodora - I was blindsided!! I don’t want another doctor but her! She is ON TARGET with the problems my daughter has! I’m trying to find her too!!

This doctor sounds like she really cares and wants to improve peoples health. I’m stuck in a rural Area where the doctors are practically on the level of zombies and they really don’t care. They just want the money as they walk in the room and walked back out.
