Quick tip apply 1 to 1 black paint and mod podge to seal and harden up the xps and then you can lightly spray paint the terrain this makes the hot glue easier to apply paint to

Constructive suggestion: Instead of strong tone, i recomend using the soft tone or light tone washes from Army painter, they gave a much better bone color in my oppinion :)

If you want to make it so enemies can't hide under the ramps pick a few area's and drill a bunch of little holes in the platform. These can be murder holes for defenders to shoot arrows through or to pour boiling oil down onto enemies with.

Now I know it's a little late but I've stumbled upon great and easy wasy to paint bones. Use AP matt white as basecoat. And than apply Vallejo sephia shade generously. The more textured the surface the better :)
@GryphonArmorer5 жыл бұрын
Those random patterns on the face of the platforms would be a cool way to add Easter eggs. 🤓🤪😂 It’s kinda hard to work with, but Masonite is a great material for the main/under base. It’s really strong/hard, “works” with basic woodworking tools and absolutely will not warp with the moisture from heavy glue applications, heavily thinned & applied PVA, or from the heat of curing resin because it’s such a hard material. To me... it’s worth the cost and “hassle” working with it (did I mention it’s a really hard material?).
@BardsCraft5 жыл бұрын
I'll check out the masonite later 👍

For making the PVA texture on top of card stock… I bet you can mix a little bit of plaster or corn starch into your glue so that the texture doesn’t level out so much as it’s drying… Just a guess though!

Check out Black Magic Craft's channel - he goes into what types of insulation foam can be found between North America and Europe, and what they're called. For Brazil... I'm not sure. I think the pink XPS foam is available there, but I'm not sure. The green stuff is exclusive to Europe, iirc.
