The black section on the BALANCER is just foam padding that makes the block softer, flexible, and more comfortable. It is not abrasive like the two buffing sides. It may have seemed like it was buffing the area making it appear as if it resulted in a semi-gloss appearance. But all it did was clean up the area by removing the dust from the prior buffing using the matte side of the block.

Got my kit in. Tried it out on a few builds so far. This thing is amazing. Works really well and easier then sanding. I would say you do have put some pressure on it get the nub marks fully gone. Once they are gone and buffed i found it had better over all finish then sanding/buffing. Not huge improvement and probably not worth the money..but it is an improvement.

Glad you liked it, as mention above its a premium item, not necessary at all but quite good

After prolonged use, u think the glass file will wear off?
@AdamMckeithan
@AdamMckeithan 5 жыл бұрын
@@williamvo6674 It shouldn't since plastic is a lot softer then glass. You do need to clean it since plastic is left in the holes on the file side.

I am not sold on this, I feel like i can get the same or better results with sand paper and a nail buffer. Awesome video though, I would love more tool/ supply reviews.

If this was marketed at $15 it would probably sold pretty well among the gunpla community. They probably should market these toward the high end modelling community instead... the elites will pay 3x to 5x for paints and tools that generally produce the same results.

$25+$10 shipping I’m sorry just go to the hardware store pick up 900-2000 grit sandpaper go to a beauty section of a pharmacy and spend the 75 cents and buy a nail buffer there you go that will last longer

Ive been using that for years, it work really well, the set showed above is not a necessity but if you want a smoother experience it work. Its like comparing a pair of 25usd nippers to godhand. The 25usd nipper do the job well but the godhands are just premium items

Gunpla Network I understand and I’m sorry if I sound harsh, I own a pair of godhands myself so maybe the reason I don’t need this is because they do such a good job already but to each their own, great video mate keep up the amazing content

spend 10$ on a pack of Tamiya sanding sponges, last 3-4 kits and works so much better than nail buffers.

Great review Cody Can fully agree this would helpful if you weren’t so mindful about the leaving of nicks and gauging using a knife or way easier for non painters to get a perfect finish

Get god hand sanding sticks. I use my godhands then a tamiya knife and then I buff my results are much better and my local shop carries the sticks for about 6 bucks. This seems an expensive route to a mediocre destination.

I get why it's a bit expensive, but the fact that the file is 25 alone is a but absurd, if the whole set was 25-30, it's a bit more reasonable (I know that it's tempered glass, but it's just too high for me, since getting 10 glass files would have been cheaper than $25 anyway)

My wife's nail care kit cost $7. Better results at less than half the cost of this. Listing this under "expensive products not worth their cost".

Literally how you clean normal glass files, with water and maybe a soft bristled toothbrush

I think the raser is just a slightly fancified nano glass nail file. It has an array of laser etched micro holes on a flat glass piece.

Hello, quick Q: If I cut all pieces out, prime, color then coat, does this tool still matter? If so, I assume I'd use this before priming? Thanks for showing how this works.

piyodamariVer2.25 yep it still matters mate Surface prep for painting is key Ideally you want a flat smooth surface to prime and paint on

Though this video is 1 year old, I can't help but comment. Dude, when you used the hobby knife, it is so damn obvious you weren't careful. You hastily run the blade across the nub mark area and if I am not mistaken with an angle. So of course you would create a nick there. Sorry, you can't use this as an argument in favour of that product.

For anyone interested in buying this overpriced rebranded nail file... You can buy similar products on Amazon for so much cheaper. Search "glass nail shiner", literally the same thing.

Truly overpriced unnecessary tools. This is a tool set made to look nice but it truly is easy to make a kit with way cheaper tools. It’s the type of set you buy, say looks how cool this looks. And then a month later never touch again.
