@@thevipez8740 context bro. The woman was criticizing the soldiers for not losing anyone while lots of natives ended up dying. Rory explained that they fought from long range. If someone from the soldiers died it would have been something to commend according to the lady speaker's logic, but it would have been meaning less because a soldier's death in that battle would not have saved any extra lives, in fact less gunfire may have compromised more lives against the dragon. Hope my explanation cleared up the quote a bit, but I wonder......Rory's words seemed perfectly clear to me.

This is how it is in many societies. Even in countries like the US people often look at folks and say "you should respect your elders" I had a person one time at a conference talking about how to collect funds for a group say that to me after I suggested looking at various retail/food companies for donations. God this show needs to continue. One of the more unique anime iv seen, and really nothing quite gets up there with it. Action, fantasy, sci-fi, slight harem, politics, Isekai, mixed in with alright writing, characters you remember, and effective timeline setting progression.
