I got selected for iacs kolkata, even interview went great but the professor with whom I wanted to work didn't take just because of I am a gate student 😭😭it's such an unfair system ....like life is completely reset again . It's so devastating 😭

That's unfortunate . They have limited number of GATE sponsored seats which might be the case here.
