These are the first switches im buying. Ive used blue outemu for four years because i could care less and those things were tanks. Then early 2021 i switched to outemu reds. No matter how much time i spent with it, i was really prone to errors with how soft the reds are and Outemu reds are total crap when it comes to durability. I have the rk987 now and their in-house brown switches are pretty good and their new stocks seems to have no problem with stabilizers. However, the switches have really shallow actuation. It feels weird as it activates as shallow as a mouse click but they do sound nice. Im actually afraid to try linear once again with Gateron milky yellow pros but lets see. I ordered 20 bucks worth of it :P Sorry just wanna tell things as if i have someone to listen and im drunk

I got the akko matcha green, and radiant reds. Are they more smoother and more clacky compared to the pro milky yellow? Or the SMD version of the yellow? What's your opinion. Thinking of getting it. If it sounds and feel similar I would just skip it.

Hello, Do you prefer SMD Gateron Pro yellows or Gateron milky Yellows? Are both of these similar in terms of smoothness? Which one is quieter and what is more likely to give that thocky sound signature? Should I also keep the factory-lube or manually lube it again? Sorry for the long question, i'm currently building my first mechanical keyboard so I want to get some knowlegde first. Thank you in advance!

I prefer SMD Pro since I like louder sound, and would suggest not to manually lube it. The factory lube is perfect. But that's only my preference. You can try it.

Not yet, I might lube them but not film. It's good enough for me. I suggest you get the SMD pro instead. Much more stable. :)

Ohhh. Gateron dealt with it. Changed the housing mold to avoid getting in contact with the keycaps.

Hand Lubing will always be better most especially if you have your own method of doing it. But for a beginner the Factory lubed Pros are good to go.

Yes I have, I prefer this than the matcha only if the board is not outemu-socket. Since gaterons won't fit outemu socket keyboards but akko matchas do.

@@asafberger4108 Very preferential, if you want a deeper tone go for the milky. RGB is better with the milky to because the housing is diffuesd and scatters light and would work well with white coloured plates. The feel are the same if lubed.
