I really wish they'd allow assigning orders while paused in single player. CoH3 has spoiled me with its tactical pause features. The micro in this game is overwhelming sometimes.

slow time gives you plenty of time to issue orders

Great intro review. I am still trying to wrap up the Liberation DLC (was late to buying it) but am sold on getting this too. How long will this 20% intro discount run for? I may just go download now from steam to have it ready when I complete Liberation.

NM, had me so interested I decided to go to Steam and see for myself. They clearly indicate its on sale until Oct 31st for anyone else that is interested. It's pretty cheap so I am going to buy now.

Have they finally fixed the sidewalking wrong animation? (when you run left or right, your legs dont do the right animations) I dont understand why this has never been fixed. Kinda kills immersion. Funny enough, if the ai does it, then the animation is correct.

I really don't see the price of all DLC's being an issue personally. I have well over 800 hours on this game. I can easily see myself playing another 1000+ or more (especially as more content is released). In my opinion the price of current and future DLC's is more than justified for the amount of gameplay time I spend playing GOH. Yes, it may look daunting to see the cost of everything if you are completely new and haven't purchased anything yet but I mean the base game easily still offers hundreds of hours of content. So if you enjoy that and play it regularly then you can think about picking up the extra DLC's. Otherwise just... don't :D I feel like some people are ignorant to the fact of how much new content costs for the developers that are making it. In this community I often see people calling the GoH devs greedy with comparisons to earlier MOW games and how they had 5 factions on release etc but they never look deeper than that. In reality GOH's factions are far more fleshed out and the unit quality and variety are all vastly superior and match accordingly with each other. In AS2 you'd often still have vehicles in game that were ported from the original Faces of war or an earlier MOW game and look blatantly worse than the vehicle beside them which may have been made more recently for AS1/2. MOW games reused so much content it's unreal. I mean look at MOW2 which released a few months ago, that even still uses voice-lines and some audio from the original games. At least GoH makes everything from scratch. I've rambled on but you get the idea... One last thing as well which is awesome, a GoH dev in their discord said "Finland, aka Talvisota, would get more content from a mission and unit perspective. The release date has not been allocated yet but it's slowly nearing." and that "it will be a (free) addition to Talvisota, if we have it our way." so it may be a great time to pick up Talvisota if you haven't already :) but yeah, awesome video!

@@iTomBass thank you for sharing! I certainly don't want to give the Devs a hard time over pricing / amount of content so I hope it didn't come across that way. It's very useful to hear the opinion of someone with so many hours on the game and I hope potential new players read what you have to say to help inform their opinion. Ultimately if you can pick the base game up with a 75% discount and the other DLCs with a 50% discount it's a ruddy bargain whichever way you look at it!

@@leearmstrong8442 one thing that annoyed me a few times was a soldier would throw a grenade against a wall / bush and it would bounce back, exploding in the middle of all my troops! Hope they fix that soon
