I ended buying with COH 3, and so far i'm having mixed feelings about it. The gameplay on skirmish is good, it's COH at the end of the day, but the thing that bothers me the most is idk how to say it, the game feels empty at the moment. There isn't much to do, not many units to explore and experiment with. Nothing worth grinding. At least for now tho. But judging on how they treated AOE 4, it looks like it's gonna stay that way for another year or two. Italy campaign is a half-baked Total War campaign. I was so excited when i played it for the first time because i thought I would get to choose one of four different battlegroups that i would use for the rest of the campaign, turns out i can recruite the rest later on, no faction buffs and no unique mechanic, i mean what's the point of giving us the option in the first olace?. Overall Italy is kinda boring At least skirmish is pretty fun.
@twiglets2Күн бұрын
@@numbawan-j7y interesting to hear your take, as most other opinions are overly negative in my view. I enjoyed the Italian campaign but would agree it doesn't stand up to a Total War campaign. I know which I would choose!

@@simonchoi973 it's worth taking another look! I'm finding it enjoyable, the rts element is fun, but on its own would feel a bit shallow. However the fact you can upgrade individual squads with a sniper rifle for example and carry them into battle adds a nice layer! It's a bit short... It seems a really detailed RTS with many strategically meaningful options. The question is how is the learning curve and how much may the complexity and micromanagement stand in the way of a more action oriented Skirmish e.g. in comparison to Company of Heroes 2. Here I feel like I really need to improve my understanding of the various troops, vehicles and game mechanics.

@twiglets2 haha thanks man I appreciate your support, maybe I'm not toooo stupid for this game, but this games required micromanagement is definetly too complicated for my current level of skill. My first and only other ww2 rts was Blitzkrieg and all I wanted was 'modern and realistic tank and artillery battles', so I bought this game alongside CoH and CoH2(which are too arcady for my cravings of seeing big guns go boom over long ranges), since it was on every 'top 10 ww2 rts etc.' list, but damn, this game is more complicated than truckdriving, operating a crane, wheelloader and forklift combined.😂 Your guide is very nice though, organized and easy too understand, thanks for putting the work into making it easier for us plebs. 😎👌
