Love these conversations with Pres and Tim. Such wisdom from people who have walked the walk the hard way. Alters iare where you die. Be a safe person. Ask what and how. Less why's. Learn to play the "harp" in courageous conversations. ❤

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 🤸🏽♀️🤸🏽♀️🤸🏽♀️🤸🏽♀️🤸🏽♀️🤸🏽♀️ Imagine an overweight woman doing cartwheels! I played, replayed, shared, replayed this podcast so many times in the last three hours. The Holy Spirit pulled up a chair and guided this conversation. Only He can change one's trajectory and land us in the very place He wants us to be. And this was not a group therapy session! Every individual came away with a special treasure from Abba Father! Thanks Dad for loving us like this. We do appreciate You.

The WISDOM shared in this episode is above & beyond. 🤯 Definitely will come back to this one prior to having any “courageous conversations”.

This conversation has encouraged me to do the work in checking my heart and preparing my harp. My mother and I avoided the courageous conversations. My past attempts left me more wounded. The irony is I am a safe place for others however pride (both of us) almost eliminated the desire to pursue possibility. This episode reminds me I can also be safe in future courageous conversations. Thank you both!

I have been blessed 🙌🏾 beyond measure by these intimate and much needed dialogs. The moment before Mr. Ross went through the list of people, I was going through the same account in my head. This has touched my heart, gentlemen of God. I pray 🙏🏽 to be able to have courageous conversations with my children and all those I meet. Amen

Wow, Tim, you just taught me a HUGE key to this life and the success of it. What you said about the questions we should ask ourselves BEFORE we speak to somebody else in a hard conversation has forever changed the way I will speak to another person. I vow to never say a word until I have asked myself those questions in my head. And I have always been the queen of asking “why”, which you made me clearly see is accusatory from the jump. Wow. This one was absolutely life changing!!

No kidding - went into an extremely courageous conversation today with a loved one after making a "stabbing" declaration of truth that ruffled some feathers, and God provided this discussion for me to listen to immediately. As in, today is the first day I've ever listened to you guys, and it was exactly when I needed it. Lord's grace. I've got a lot to learn, but this has helped. Thank you.

Hey Tim, I grew up in the same household that you described Juliet growing up in and loud voices are an emotional trigger for me even if it’s not meant in anger or violence just straight out of passion like you said, but when you started to switch your tone of voice from passionate to more soothing it really made me feel safe and secure, that’s just the best way to describe it but I gotta say you hit the bullseye on that one.

This is soooooooo hard! I'm just getting pelted with this convo. Not because I believe they are wrong, but I feel a little conviction. What does in fact trouble me is this: how someone receives that truth is a real factor! If someone doesn't like hearing the actual, factual truth about something and hide being hurt, this can lend itself to manipulation. That is my only question when it comes to speaking the truth in love. We go back to Jesus as the example, but we can't make it seem like everyone liked the truth that Jesus was communicating. That his truth didn't cut some people. And it still does to this day. So as I communicate truth, without the intent to hurt, how should I feel when only the hurting feeling left behind is spread form the receiver?

My first watching. I have been so blessed. I have seen where I have gone wrong in having normal conversations and where I am right now is also leaps and bounds feom where I've come. Me watching @thebasement and now following on this platform. I have been through a divorce and diagnosed with cancer there after and just listening to your words, learning and applying. Being able to say what I thought I was doing serving Jesus all the othera years was not like now me having a relationship with Christ. Thank you so so much. May God continue to bless both your assignments on earth and also bless your hearts. Amidst what I am facing now I am so excited for my life 😊

It’s so much that I want to say. I wish I could send this to my friend and she receives it with truth and an abundance of love. Like yoooo, talk about someone that brings up my past from upteen yrs ago and I’m like no, let’s stay present because who I was then is not who I am now. Don’t you see?!!! Chileeee we stay agreeing and disagreeing to keep peace. But I’m so tired of that. I’m so tired of not being able to get out my truth and perspectives because I have fear that she’ll get in my face and now I shut down and go in a shell. Bruhhhhhhhhhhh this conversation needs to live with Q&A because c’mon!!! This is so good. Pray for our friendship. I love her dearly as well as she loves me but maaan it’s exhausting not feeling free to express. I should probably stop looking for her to accept me, to stop wanting her to see the change. Idk help me Jesus. I can have courageous conversations with everyone except her. I need therapy. Ima sign up next year. Holy God be a fence of protection. Amen 🙏🏾
