I love your gather your fragments videos! A tip for miss Lauren, I have been making and decorating cakes for several years now, with the cupcake cakes make a nice homemade butter cream and whip it a little bit so it’s easy to spread. Once you get it spread evenly over your cupcakes let it sit for a few minutes, then take a viva paper towel (the smooth with no ripples or designs) and smooth over the icing with your hand. That is the best trick I learned to decorate cakes!

If you have a pot or pan, that has burnt food in the bottom, I have THE best advice ever! Just sprinkle a little laundry detergent over the bottom, pour some hot water on top - and leave it alone for 30 minutes. No heavy scrubbing, nothing else. And then just wash as regularly - the burnt stuff almost dissolves and melts off, like magic 🙂

When we were kids, she would always seem to make Spam and Macaroni for supper the nights we would go get our haircuts. Your comment about till the cows come home had me thinking as we use that term in Scotland also. I googled it and this is the info I got. The expression was in use during the 19th century, with an example appearing in print in 1829, in a British newspaper called The Times: “If the Duke will but do what he unquestionably can do, and propose a Catholic Bill with securities, he may be Minister, as they say in Scotland 'until the cows come home. '” Amazing how so many sayings are used all over the world. Love your channel by the way.

We also say it in Canada. As for the cows they just need the right motivation. During a snowstorm in October, the snow knocked down the electric fence, and the cows did come home... they walked the 5 miles from our north pasture to the home yard. We would have moved them in the next few weeks but they were ready to come home early.

I would suggest reading the book Health at Every Size by Linda Bacon and the Intuitive Eating book by Evelyn Triboli and Elyse Resch. Our body size is largely something we cannot control (contrary to what Diet culture makes us believe) and the way to not feel out of control around food is to stop demonizing foods and making them off limits. It sounds counterintuitive, I know! Anyway, definitely give those books a read, the science is fascinating and I think you’ll find them to be empowering and hopeful!
