Then add some of the meat and pasta salad yummy. I would have a delicious breakfast with waffles, sausage and egg cups along side the fruit salsa. Oh boy. Then finish with dessert. What a great weekend of fun n delicious foods. Thank you for sharing. It was wonderful. I appreciate you reading as always today’s Psalm. Have a fantastic and blessed weekend.

We have a huge smoker type grill and we use charcoal to grill so it takes a little more effort than when we had the gas grill but we like the charcoal flavor better. We have started making what I call a mixed grill every time we grill. The last time we grilled we fixed 8 burgers, 6 bratwurst, 4 pork chops, 4 steaks and 6 pieces of chicken. I made potato salad, baked beans, slaw, green beans and a skillet of corn. I then had dinner cooked f or most of the week. To reheat I place whichever type protein everyone wants with 1/2 cup of water or broth in a skillet and reheat it that way. The meat stays moist and retains the great grilled flavor. With 4 or 5 side dishes we can have our favorites that way too. I try to do that at least twice a month. It works great for busy weeks when I know we have alot going on. We are night shifters. We sleep during the day and must have dinner no later than 4:30 pm as Mark leaves for work between 6:15-6:30 pm. . I love soup and do not mind soup year round but my husband is not a huge fan of soup when it is hot outside. I get a treatment for my Chronic pain once a month and Friday is when I am doing it this month. It makes me really sleepy for 2 or 3 days. I come home and sleep most of Friday. Saturday I catnap off and on all day and by Sunday evening when Mark's goes back to work I am more alert. I am thinking tomorrow evening I am going to make a big pan of Funeral Spaghetti. That is easy to put together and we all like it. My daughter is expecting in September. I have started doubling some recipes and freezing half so that she has some quick and easy meals for when the baby gets here. She works fulltime and will be off 6 weeks without pay so I am going to try and help them out.

Hello Amy hope you had a great Mother’s Day. I love your daily vlogs and your words of wisdom, bible reading. I have some answered prayers in the past weeks. I had blood in my urine so my dr ordered a cat scan to see if my kidneys were ok, they looked fine. But my liver showed blemishes and had to go see my dr so he could tell me what the results meant ( my mom died last Memorial Day of liver cancer). I had to wait 2 days to see my dr and I tried to not worry as less as possible. My dr said my liver enzymes have never been bad and that for now he isn’t worried it’s anything, my husband cried, our God has been so good to us. I would like to ask for prayer for my ankle that I broke in November and had 3 surgeries on, one to have screws and pins to fix. The next was a week after surgery when they took the cast off it was black all along the incision, the skin died due to being wrapped to tight. The second was to remove the dead tissue leaving the muscle exposed for a couple of wks. The third was to have a skin graft done. I have been in constant pain and still using a walker. I am not used to not being able to do what I want. I have to keep it up as much as possible. But am still blessed because they talked about amputation.

Amy, a different salad you might enjoy is using watermelon, red (purple) onion, black olives and feta. Slice the red onion thinly and put it in a bowl. Sprinkle lime juice and leave for 2 hours. This 'cooks' the onion and softens it, making the flavour milder. Drain the lime juice off, but don't throw it away! Cut up the watermelon and add to the onion. Chop the black olives in half and mix them in. Cut the feta into bite size pieces and stir them in, too. Take the lime juice - you need about 2 tablespoons - and add 2 tablespoons good olive oil and a good shake of black pepper. DONT add salt - the feta provides that. Chill and enjoy. I normally work on needing 2 red onions (white or yellow don't work so well) to 2lbs watermelon, half a can olives and half a pound of feta. The watermelon adds to the dressing, so it is delicious. I also zest the lime and add it, if the colour is good!

@@chrishingson3064 It is delicious and so refreshing on a hot day! My husband loves to have a bowl of that with some leafy salad, for lunch ... and he would not normally touch watermelon! The onion is mild and thanks to the acid in the lime, loses all that raw taste and feel.
