And that wind, right there, is the reason why we clear our yards for hurricanes of absolutely everything. That was just a normal windy day, can you imagine how much worse the wind will be in a hurricane. The stone and chair that went into your pool would have gone through your or your neighbor's windows instead. My husband always keeps a tidy garage because as soon as we know a hurricane is coming everything from the yard goes either in the pool or in the garage. Praying for another quiet hurricane season this year.

For breading, I do the shake n bake method. Put the dry into a gallon bag and just shake a few pieces around at a time. Coats well and easy clean up. I guess you could the wet in a bag too but I think a bowl is easier for that. But try the dry in a ziploc. I don't even seal it. I just hold the top gathered up and give it a shake.

Amy, for French Press best coffee, put your grounds in the bottom of the pot, once your water is near boiling pour about 8 oz over the grounds. Stir it so it becomes kind of a paste at the bottom and let that sit for a few minutes. Then come back and add your water to the pot/fill line. Put the top on and let it sit 5 minutes. Then press down slowly to make sure the grounds all stay out. This works! Then you can add creamer.

Then when you're jonesing for fried pickles, all you have to do is heat up the oil and pop them in!

Amy, welcome to the world of French pressed coffee! Use coarsely ground coffee if possible and put it into the Bodem first. Pour in your boiling water slowly then stir with a spoon. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes then slowly plunge. You want to pour slowly as well so you don't get too many coffee grounds that might slip past the filter. If you grind it too fine, it will be very silty. Enjoy your strong coffee!

You might want to invest in a larger deep fryer if you think you will continue to fry things, it would be more suited for a family size and make the process go much faster. The Fry Daddy is probably more for a couple or a college student, it is very small and makes small portions. Growing up, my Mom had a regular size deep fryer that she used to fry things like frozen french fries, corn dogs, etc.

I’m thinking a BBQ mat underneath your ‘frying table” would prevent staining your patio. Also, you have that lovely pizza oven…imagine how delicious the pizza crust wrapped hot dogs would taste baked there! The little drumettes are part of the chicken wing. The other part is called the flat. You can buy them , but they are pricey. Usually Walmart sells a combo pack-flats and drumettes. Guess that’s why they’re expensive at restaurants 🤷♀️ Woof to Maxine 🐾

Hi Amy, I am sure you already have this in the comments somewhere.. you can soak the chicken in buttermilk with a few drops of hot sauce and some of the seasonings of your choice.. then coat with flour ,cornstarch, and your seasonings.. dip back n forth twice and let the coating set on tray for a bit, then deep fry. The chicken will be tender from buttermilk soaking, and the chicken will be crunch from flour /cornstarch coating .. you can do various methods for veggies too this way ... but always let them set with the batter on for a bit ... you make yummy food .. God bless and keep the vlogs coming. We love them .. PS. the chimes are peaceful and endearing memories.. love them ❤

I just use it to just mix the bread and then bake off in the oven I would love to see you bake some bread in your pizza oven I bet that would be delicious! Your fryer is too small. If you would par boil your chicken it would make the chicken all rubbery. I dont have a fry daddy anymore it was just too small. I use my dutch oven on the stove with oil about 3 inches deep. I understand you didnt like the grease smell in your home. You could also oven fry your chicken plenty of those recipes on the internet. I prefer the Americas Test Kitchen recipe.
