In my opinion, there is nothing in nature more beautiful than a light snow on the hills, mountains, and trees. Thank you for getting me out of Florida and back to Massachusetts.

Thank you for sharing. My wife and I were there in October for our birthdays. We are 8 days apart. We love the area and that is why we have been there 37 times. I have been there 43 times and it never gets old. We were at New Found Cap and the snow was waste deep a few years ago. We love snow, a roaring fire in our fireplace, and spice cider. Life is good.

Eric, looks like a Christmas Winter wonderland! Really enjoyed your video. At the 1:58 mark that would be a beautiful picture postcard. Absolutely beautiful and stunning especially with the sunset! It's 45 degrees here right now and I'm freezing just watching your video. Looking forward to your next video.❤️

Beyond awesome! Certainly does affect our sense of spiritual. Thank you so very much! Any updates on traveling to the Park? We coming up from Florida? How is I -40 in case New Found Gap closed? I would really appreciate ideas????
@Debra.Justice6 күн бұрын
Are you coming up I-75? I-40 is open through Knoxville. It’s closed at the TN/NC state line because of Hurricane Helene. The east bound lanes collapsed into the river. The roads through Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are open. I think the Christmas decorations are up in Gatlinburg. Have a safe trip and hope you enjoy. I’m fortunate enough to live close to the Smokies and feel very blessed.

@ we come up on the east side of the Mts ….I-75 but then east of Atlanta ..thru Clayton 23/441 to Cherokee. Sad all the destruction cause by Helene.
@earlp67315 күн бұрын
So why was the name changed? Was Clingman cancelled now?
@SmokyMountainFamily5 күн бұрын
Kuwohi was the original Cherokee name of Clingmans Dome. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians petitioned to have the name restored.

Do they close the roads and trailheads if you get to much snow in the higher elevations.
@Debra.Justice6 күн бұрын
Yes. I’ve been there when park rangers were stopping traffic and advising people to turn around.

@SmokyMountainFamily Eastern Bunch or Western bunch? Can't erase American history, although many are still trying. Clingman's Dome. Ft Bragg. Fort Benning. Etc.
@Debra.Justice6 күн бұрын
@@JohnMoore-xf5wyEastern band. That land belonged to the Cherokees. European settlers ran roughshod over the Native Americans.
@derekk69065 күн бұрын
The Cherokee have been in the Great Smoky Mountains for over 10,000 years. In fairness much of their history was erased, then they were forced to walk all the way way to Oklahoma because their home was being taken from them….. Awful
@JohnMoore-xf5wy5 күн бұрын
@derekk6906 I have known that story for decades, also. Only fools believe they can erase history by changing its names.
