The great thing about your videos are the troubleshooting and the techniques you bring to fix kits issues. I always look forward to Friday's Hillbilly Modeling video.

I appreciate that! It would seem that I almost always get a kit with issues, but that's modeling. Thanks for watching, enjoy your weekend my friend. Johnny

Wow, Johnny! That's way too small for my hands! I'd have it all screwed up! Can't wait to see the next video!

Yes, it is small! Very few parts in this kit, the real challenge is the PE. Thanks so much for watching, take care and have a great weekend! Johnny

Amazing work Johnny with such tiny parts..A true wonder in tweezer skill..I love photo etch, but some of that even I had to look twice to see it..She’s building up ship shape and Bristol fashion,to use a Royal Navy term..One thing with this kit is there’s no sub assemblies..As the whole kit a Sub assembly.!.(forgive the pun) Great video as ever, with very useful tips on building maritime models..Can’t wait to see her painted up.. On a different note, forgive me as I forgot to add a like to your very kind comment and encouraging comment on my Panzer iii video..I forgot that I can do that when uploading and I’m hopeless with tech stuff..🫣 Thank you again and all the best from Paul in the U.K,🇺🇸🇬🇧👍

Hey Paul, yes, this kit has some tiny parts. So, there is only one sub assembly in the kit, lol 😉. I think we will be finishing this little kit up in the next video. No worries on the tech stuff on KZbin, I've been at it three years now and still screw things up 😁 Have a great weekend my friend. Johnny

Great job done on the warped parts Johnny, hahahahaha, captain of the mess hall, that got me good! Lot's of tiny, tiny pieces taken care here and good job on filling those gaps and seam lines. Looking forward for your next episode. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!

Thanks George👍it's actually a fun little kit, with some challenges, lol. Apparently one of my superpowers is that I can always find a kit with warped parts! Thanks for giving it a look my friend. Johnny

Hi Johnny. Very interesting video. I admire your patience. I think I will be in trouble with very small pieces and rails and guards on the rear. I really have problems with tiny parts. But when I look at your videos, I'm more confident in myself and I can fix all these issues. Finally, I've used for the first time PPP to fill the small gaps and I'm very satisfied. I really prefer acrylic putty to Tamiya one. Anyway, waiting for next Friday for the painting job. Meanwhile, have a great week and stay safe. Best regards from France my friend. François 🐕🦺🐾

Hi François, this kit does have some tiny parts. I plan on building other 1/350 scale vessels and I thought this kit would be a good introduction to the scale. If you decide to tackle one in this scale just take your time and make sure you are close to your work surface, that way if you drop something it hopefully won't have far to go and can be found more easily, LOL!!! So, you like the PPP! I love using this stuff, clean-up is so easy, but it's not very good for large fills. Thanks so much for watching, hope your weekend is going well, take care and see you next Friday! Johnny

Hi Johnny, the sub is looking excellent, the main hull is not a bad size for the scale but all the other parts do look 'small', congratulations on the grest progress so far, best regards from Australia, Les

Hi Les, yes, the assembly wasn't too bad once we addressed the warped parts. The PE was a little fiddly, not completely happy with that PE railing along the sides, but it might be best to let well enough alone. Thanks for watching, take care and have a great weekend!! Johnny

Nice work Johnny, lots of fiddly bits 🙂Have you ever been on a sub? I have only seen a sub with my own eyes twice in my life - once in Bremerton, WA, (moored at the quay), and the USS Bowfin in Pearl Harbor (the museum ship on land) - but unfortunately never been ON one 😞

Hi Mike, thanks a bunch! And no, I've never even seen a sub in person, but I think I watched a TV special once on nuclear subs. Other than that, just movies with John Wayne and Ronald Reagan, LOL! Have a great weekend buddy! Johnny
