New subscriber here, I am south african and spent most of my childhood growing up in flic en flac with my step father, after his passing we then moved back to South Africa. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to be able to see how to make all my favorite foods growing up in Mauritius, and this in an English version. Thank you

The Tamil community in Mauritius make this cake and its called thorpon.. It's mostly the same like Gato zemberique..

Nice video.. This is probably a sweet chana puri.. Gato zemberique is made with mung beans (zemberique) thus the name.

Hey hi, not sure how I landed here. I appreciate your efforts. I also surprised to see our local dish 😊. This is called purnam boorelu in telugu prepared in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is very traditional dish in festive seasons. You can search for "purnalu" or " purnam boorelu". All the best

Hi For your chocho bollet You need to add (1 ts of fish sauce, 1 ts of seasam sauce) So sorry if my English is not good am Mauritian And am 7 Am a chef tho If you follow the recipe You should get better one bye 😊😊😊
