Gauge Swatch - Tutorial - Knitting Blooms

My pattern calls for 28 sts over 36 rows however, I have this beautiful yarn is 25 sts over 34 rows. the needles called for are 3 1/4 for main & 2 3/4 for rib edging. Do I go up a size in each needle or do I stick to the original needle size. I am thinking of going 3 3/4 for main and 2 1/4 for edging. What is your opinion?

elizabeth cohen You should keep trying different needles until you can get a 28 sts x 36 row gauge. If you decide to knit a different size that would take more math too figure out when to increase/decrease and so forth.
