Would you say the sound is much cleaner on the Mw09 compared to the Sony xm5s? Like do the xm5 sound muffled compared to the mw09?

Yes, I would. Sony always leans more to the low end which makes the vocals sound a little muddy. Sorry for the late response.

I usually use a V shape on the equalizer for most earbuds, but on the M09 I prefer a different shape. V tends to take clarity from the mids. I use a gradual ascending shape and adjust the bass accordingly.

I did change the EQ settings for the MW09s and got a better sound. Better than the XM5s with spatial audio turned on and using the Find My Equalizer setting, no.

After using both, I would go with the QC Ultra. When using the Immersive Audio mode, their sound is just as good, but the volume is louder. Not to mention the ANC is worlds better than the EX.

Two awesome sets! I picked Technics over both. Sony touch sensors were a hair off, also didn't like the glossy finish. M&D were great but the physical buttons made it tough

What do you think of the AZ80 overall? I’m coming from Senn Momentum TWS3

@@natesmith3653 Those are my two favorites and the only two that I've kept and haven't returned. I've purchased 20-25 of the best and most recommended and only kept those two. The only real reason I prefer the AZ80s to the MTW3s is the touch buttons respond quicker on the AZ80. Both are awesome sets imo

I've been thinking about getting the Sonys WfXm5s but I only want the best of the best when it comes to sound quality and bass

I would suggest the Denon PerL Pro, Status Between 3ANC, Devialet Gemini II, Sony XM5, Bose QC II/Ultra, M&D MW09, Jabra Elite 10 just to name a few.

Don't. They busted XM4 by rolling out firmware upgrade and pissed a lot of people off me including when they refused to fix the problem caused by themselves. Sony is dead to me, forever.
