Such a great loss that we lost aurochs in Europe. It must have been a great sight. We also almost lost bison, but the population is recovering. There are also more and more moose in Poland. Recently I was out picking mushrooms and came across a herd of four moose in the forest next to a big city. And then I met another one in the grove.

Tigers are afraid of Gaurs yet they hunt them... Gaurs carry Sheer power but lack aggression as they don't hunt. They graze. However they're cases Gaurs have killed tigers... Gaurs get killed more as they're prey but it doesn't mean they lack strength. Just watched a video of tiger attacking an adult gaur it's frend came to help and lifted that gaur with its horns around 6feet in the air.. the Gaur flew n fell however the tiger was more fast and it caught hold of the gaurs neck ... The frend gaur tried to pick him from behind and the video ended... Gaurs know that they're tigers food. They don't carry animosity or hatred. Nature has instilled ego only within man and then tiger n others.

In India's Kanha National Park of the state of Madhya Pradesh, I once saw tigers feign fear of a gaur only to lure the great herbivore into the forest where it was then killed by the tigers. They spent the enxt few days feasting on its carcass, which was just about 100 feet away from the safari road through that portion of the park. This video reminds me of that as, in my opinion, the retreat of the tiger seems a rather half-hearted affair. I might be wrong on this, but based on the what I observed in Kanha National Park this possibility that the tiger is luring the gaur into the predator's advantage within the forest deserves consideration.
