It's so fun to click on someone's work after they make a comment like FlavaBomb's. And I'm glad I did... I haven't laughed that hard in a while :-D Just wanted to say after years of following your work Gavin, your craft is on an entirely different level than most and even if you only make fans out of the very few who realize it, I think you should know you're still making a huge difference. I have a true respect for everything you do and the music world owes you a huge thank you.

Damn, you killed it! Now I want to learn how to loop, it seems so fun but can also sound dope as hell, obviously. I would say this is about as good as Kimbra's looping stuff, which is a high honor in my book. Nice Job! Edit: upon relistening, I now realize that this reminds me of SBTRKT a lot, which is also awesome. Oh, and the song is still really good.

great looping mate
@gavincastletonmusic12 жыл бұрын
The looping is all happening within Ableton - the Voicelive Play does have looping capability, but I needed to be able to also loop all the synths and drum samples, so Ableton was the best way to go for that. The Voicelive Play is particularly awesome for vocal effecting - I used it for all the different voice effects.

Certainly a B3 lover... a very cool funky/jazzy way to play. Hammond-like keyboard touch, clavinet sound, all is here :-) Very impressive. And good.
@michael_harren10 жыл бұрын
Olivier Dahan I need to learn that style. Looks like so much fun to play!
@KNHSynths10 жыл бұрын
Michael Harren Just listen a lot of jimmy smith and other great B3 players and try to imitate. It's easy (to tell, to do that's another piece of cake) :-) Like Bach was saying it "organ is easy, just have to push the right touch at the right moment". ! I agree jazz/funk is a style giving a lot of pleasure. Making correctly a B3 screaming is a joy that's a bit animal, perhaps even sexual.

Hello from Argentina. as you do to record the live performance with Ableton Live. I do not quite understand how to complete performance to record my live, I read somewhere that you can capture the internal PC audio. Thank You
@paperino07 жыл бұрын
You just gotta record the audio of the master channel mixer. dont know how its done in ableton, im a fruity guy

@@paperino0 you create a channel and route all your channels to go through that one and record it.
