Hey, you should check with GAW about this but. I believe you should but the bolts in and start them. Then put blocks under the rear wheels and allow the full weight of the car down on the wheels, then torque the Diff mount bolts under load. That should get rid of the clunk and the Diff whine sound. Currently, you maybe stressing the Delrin bushing in the GAW Diff mount.

Geezus even the mounts break on these cars 😂😂😂 Cant believe how under engineered the original is I would just see if the bushings are swappable. All the noise is from the new delrin? solid bushings. Another way to prevent the failure is just keep crappier tires on the car. Less sticky, no breaky hopefully.

my M3 has solid diff bushing all round and honestly can't hear it anywhere near as much as your M5. I guess my exhaust drowns out all of the sound from the diff

Yeah, if you have a lot exhausted, you’ll drown out the noise

I’ve seen the diffs fail even with the upgraded differential mount
