Because none of these characters are in the sequels, they have to do something with them, either kill them off like they were doing with the OT crew, or strand them in the other galaxy if they want to continue the characters.

When Ezra and Ahsoka hugged I felt like that was one of the happiest moments in all of star wars. idk why but something so simple was delivered so well.

Ahsoka's posthumous relationship with her master right now reminds me a lot of that of a child's relationship with her parent that has died and their relationship ended on bad terms, or a health condition changed their interactions. She celebrates the person who raised her and the time they had together before a fight or a disagreement or outside factors ended their relationship. She has had closure by remembering the good times, and knowing that's who he really was before a mental illness took over.

Thrawn’s reaction to Ahsoka being Anakin’s student seems to be a mix of admiration and fear. Admiration because he knew Anakin before and after he became Darth Vader, seeing him as a friend and respecting him as a great tactician. Fear because he knew Anakin was extremely powerful and very unpredictable, which would also make Ahsoka a dangerous adversary to him.

Sabine did not want to go back. She just lost her master. She lost her family. Besides Hera and the Ghost Crew, Ezra is the only family she has left, and due to her decision, the only option seems to be to start a new life with him...as more than a sister? Ezra did well with The Force as his ally. I think most people *who complain expected game-stats Jedi using the Force for defense.

Funny story. Thrawn and Anakin actually met in the clone wars once and fought side by side on a mission. I forget where but I believe it was somewhere in the uknown regions. They grew to respect each other in that short time. Years later he actually met him again as Vader and when they teamed up Thrawn caught onto the fact that Vader was probably skywalker because of their similar strategies. He even trolled Vader about it a few times without directly saying he knew he was Anakin. That was smart because Vader would have killed him if he outright said he knew. And Vader likely knew that he probably knew but there wasn't a good enough justification to silence him.

I know people will try to use the words “Glup Shitto” yet again when it comes to the appearance of C-3PO and Anakin Skywalker in the penultimate episode of Ahsoka, but that’s not true at all when you see that 3PO was there to represent and save Hera on behalf of Leia in a way that shows Filoni tastefully honoring the legacy, presence and character of Carrie Fisher as Leia without appearing by CG deepfake or uncanny valley de-aging. And I think Carrie Fisher is smiling from above at how Filoni handled her presence in Ahsoka well. Also, it made sense to have Anakin’s hologram in this episode so Ahsoka could get one last fight lesson from his prerecorded training lessons worked on before she went to fight against Thrawn and save Ezra and Sabine. So, yeah, it made sense for them to appear and wasn’t just fan service.

I find it SO funny how everyone, not just xelle seems to find the characters they know the smallest amount about(Baylon, Enoch) are the ones they find the most interesting. Everyone's expectations are for some reason SO HIGH for them when the amount of information and backstory is likely much smaller than assumed. It's like guessing there's a million dollars worth of gold coins in a small cup that actually has milk in it. "OH it's so interesting! ANYTHING could be in that cup!"

True. It’s one of the things people didn’t like about Prometheus and Alien Covenant. They took away some of the mystery from the Alien universe. It’s a fine line to walk, between keeping enough intrigue and giving satisfying answers to the mysteries you set up.

We all just have to know after an epic battle at the landing site, Season 1 concludes with Thrawn making a narrow escape into hyperspace just as Shin joins forces with Ahsoka .. ..

The one nice touch in the beginning was Mon Mothma standing when she saw Threepio. Showing respect she didn't have to given her position. I think the season will end with Baylan being killed off once he sees/releases the Zeffo - possibly. Unless they had more of him filmed, Ray's last episode is next week. I don't see Shin going to the Jedi side this season. And I think that Huyang will have a kyber crystal Ezra can build with. :)

Already ahead of your watchthrough, Gaxelle! Loved the action, dialogue and, of course Thrawn. He's my peer-favorite charecter next to Tarkin. I found it to be a bittersweet moment seeing C-3PO again. I was happy to see him but also sad at the thought that, if Carrie Fisher was still alive, it would probably be Leia who showed up to defend Hera.

I have a theory on that Senator Xiono charecter: He's actually a pawn of one of the many Imperial Remnent's spies. Specifically, that Elia Kane lady. Remember, we never got a conclusion to her story in The Mandalorian. Seeing as how she rose through the New Republic's ranks each time we saw her first as a graduate in the New Republic's Amnesty Program, then she had a job at the Republic's local defense Force's Headquaters. I don't see how unlikely the possibilities are of her landing a position as a Senatorial Aide or even as an Assistant to a Senatorial Aide. Given how common the chances of are of finding Imperial Loyalists or even sypathizers to the Empire's way of being I would not rule this theory out just yet. What do you think fellow Comentators? Let me know!

Senator Hamato Xiono (father of Kazuda "Kaz" Xiono) is incredibly ignorant 🙄😒, perhaps the Hosnian Massacre (the destruction of the entire Hosnian System including his homeworld of Hosnian Prime, because of the First Order's Starkiller Base), that he and the rest of his family thankfully were off world during, finally opened his eyes, maybe Thrawn's return will have a similar but smaller effect 🤔😓.

Baylan's goal is not a mystery. He's told us what he wants, and how he thinks he can achieve it. Baylan sees history as cyclical - a constant rise and fall pattern. He wants to break that. He says a power on Peridea has "called to him" - he seems to believe that whatever it is that calls to him will allow him to re-shape the galaxy, destroying the galaxy and taking it to "a beginning" without the cycles. He was never on the voyage for Thrawn - that was a convenient excuse to hitch a ride. Baylan probably believes that eventually New Republic and Thrawn will wither to the power he hopes to wield. He has no issues burning the galaxy down in order to start anew - "one must destroy in order to create"

I don't think Senator Xiono is a traitor, because he is Kaz's father from Star Wars Resistance. And although in that series they made him seem like a difficult person, he is pro republic. Think they just made him way too extreme in this series.

They both downgraded from Rebels show for sure but in Sabine's case there is already Bo Katan and for Ezra there is no need for a Jedi in these time period. All they do this episode is make them look like a couple. Not a romantic way but like two sides of a coin, one of them using lightsaber and other one using the force. Together they're like a trained Jedi Knight but alone there is no way defeat a Sith. Fortunately there is Ahsoka there to take care of them. Also seems like Shin could be converted to the light side too. If they're not introduce Darth Revan kinda ancient power or Valley of the Jedi kinda place, or a new threat like Yuuzhan Vong I don't know what Baylan searching for. Potantially Disney wants them to kill Thrawn in last episode and done with it but what about Filoni-verse? It all depends on what is gonna be in Thrawn's cargo in the end.

I haven't seen your content before, but I will probably just move on in future because partially covered screens are VERY distracting and actually cause eye strain. You don't have to do that.

Been a fan for a long time, I loved your clone wars watch-through, but I can't understand your love for this recent fanfic nonsense. Have you read Timothy Zahn's brilliant trilogy? That book series was incredible, and this TV interpretation is a disgrace, Thrawn is not showing even a shadow of the genius that he really was. And why do you keep falling for the Threepio, Leia, Endor, even Ahsoka (in her own show, and yet that's what it is) memory drops? I'm sure I'll get plenty hate for this comment, that's ok. This show is terrible, and time will prove this true. We all remember Clone Wars to be great. This will not be remembered even remotely the same. Quote me in 5 years
