Seattle Steamworks is lame. No jacuzzi, sauna working is hit and miss. Showers and dark room is pretty much it. The other Steamworks cities have their act together.

Funny thing about wet rooms is that I used to go to a regular gym near a university campus, and the showers, jacuzzi, and sauna at that gym had more cruising and action than any bathhouse I’ve ever visited. The showers were all open and completely visible from the locker room, so it was the cruising area, while the jacuzzi and sauna were in a separate room that was more private. The unspoken rule was that you only went into the jacuzzi/sauna room if you were hooking up - no one went in there just to relax - while the showers were for...well...showering. And for cruising. If you saw someone you liked, you’d leave the showers and head into the jacuzzi room. If they followed, you were good to go. It was a 24-hour gym, though, and it was often deserted at 2:00am, so sometimes you could get into a little action in the shower if it was you and just one (or two) other people. I stopped going there after a few years and I heard rumors that the gym’s management had put a stop to any action in the jacuzzi/sauna, but it was great for a few years there. Way cheaper than the local bathhouse - which might be why it was so popular - plus you could actually work out there.

Sounds like the YMCA. Here the men kept it well hidden. You could see people walking towards and stop if it wasn’t someone recognizable. Never knew so many married Dads were in there. Definitely kept me in shape going to the gym 😂 then Covid ruined it all.

Good comment about the key. I don't know if this is a thing but it should be. Here in Phoenix we get the key on this elastic thing that I put on my right arm, where I'd put a leather arm band, to signify I'm a bottom. I think we should make those old school signals relevant again.

Is it dangerous to hook up in heated areas like that and by that I mean like over heating the body causing dehydration or heat related injuries. I know if you stay in hot tubs or steam rooms too long it can be dangerous. I know the common sense thing would be to just get out and go to another place but what if you are too turned on to think about common sense and get caught up in the moment. Also, if that is an over reaction and if people hook up in the hot tubs or steam rooms for a long period of time without something happening I'm curious to know too.

I do "NOT" use the soap provided by bath house. Why do I want to smell like everyone else. I use "F*ckBoi soap by FGSoap in Oregon. The soap scent attracts others guys. Besides talking to them about the soap, I can then provide some alone time with me where they can expeirence the "F*ckboi soap" more intimately.

@@andyroo9381 The official web site reads, "Scented with a fragrance oil that comes pretty damn close to Abercrombie’s Fierce cologne and looking all kinds of pretty (in true fuckboi fashion) with blue mica.". What I have been told is guys find it to be "that guy wants to be fucked" type of scent. Key thing, it does "NOT" smell like the soap in the shower, sweat, poppers, or Sh*t. Fuckboi soap gives me a unique scent (which is what Patrick is talking about in the video).

**long post, but pls help!** Patrick, babes, I need you help, I REALLY need your help!! I’ve never been to a bathhouse in my life (it’s like catching a fish in a barrel, I enjoy the hunt!)…. I think I’ve done pretty much half the guys in the community, but on Hanlans point beach, either on the beach, in the forested area behind it, or in the pubic showers behind it… but I haven’t been there since 2008 because I have Crohn’s disease, got really sick, and they had to remove 95% of my G.I. tract, literally removing my rectum and stitching it shut permanently (I was vers, but LOVED bottoming), not to mention being given an ileostomy bag that I have to wear for the rest of my life. How do I put this delicately? Let’s just say I have a nice worm to catch the fish, rather large one, and it’s that, more than anything else, that allowed me to have so much fun, and I miss it so much, but now I have a bag of poop hanging off my lower left abdomen, and my entire abdomen is now covered with deep scars. I look in the mirror naked, and I just wanna cry, because the body I used to have was ripped apart by the surgeon scalpel 37 times to be exact, to the point where I can’t even look in the mirror. I am so afraid to go to a bathhouse, because who in the world is going to want to play with a guy with a bag of poop hanging right next to his junk? I know I should be thankful, because I almost died four times, but miraculously survived, not even the doctors can explain it, but I so desperately want to go play, but I am mortified to be seen naked now. As you know, Hanlans Point is pretty much a gay nude beach. I used to spend hours for parading up and down the shore, talking to my friends, while fishing, to the point where I could put Captain Highliner out of business! That’s the only thing I have left. The one and only time my friends convinced me to go back to the beach after I got the bag and all those surgeries, the second I stood up everybody was pointing at me, making rude comments behind my back, or just coming up to me and asking me, and I quote , Dias by several guys I use to p,ay with “what is wrong with you”…I’m a big boy figuratively and literally, and I can stick up for myself, I won’t repeat what I told those people who were that rude, but dammit it made me so upset, I wanted to crawl under a rock and die! The worst part is if the bag too wet, it falls off because it’s held on with adhesive. If you don’t know what an ileostomy bag is, Google it, then you’ll understand why I feel the way I do. So my question is, have you ever seen guys at the bath houses with physical performities from surgeries that are pretty gruesome? If you have, have these guys ever once got any action? I’m not overly fussy, but I’d say I’m pretty good looking guy (definitely NOT a hot supermodel!). My biggest curse is I like younger guys, I because I am 53 and have these physical malformations, I don’t think one guy would you even look at me, unless it was a look of disgust, and I do not want to compromise what I find attractive just because I’m stuck with this situation, I shouldn’t have to. I am definitely not stuck up, I have played with guys that, dare I say, were probably a little too young, I’m talking teenagers..so fun, so much energy!…and I’ve played with guys who were much older then me…it all depends on the person, but generally I’ve ALWASY liked guys around 10 years younger then me, and had no problem finding as many as I wanted, but now? After that one experience at the beach, having literally hundreds of people pointing at me and talking about me in the worst possible way, what in the hell am I supposed to do? I can’t hide it, I cannot take it off, because it is constantly flowing, and I’m definitely NOT into scat, EVER (yuck!). Before I had all the surgery they used to call me the Pied Piper, because I would stand at the end of the beach with a semi, Baiting the hook so to speak, then I’d slowly walk to the forested Area behind the beach, usually between 5 to 10 guys would join (my personal best was 27 guys, not including 4 guys on jet skis watching and showing off for us). I will always be the first one to finish, and after I jumped in the lake to wash myself off, the other guys came out one by one, jumping in the lake to wash themselves off. It actually became a big joke, but a great one. But now, it is so depressing to know I’ll never be able to do that again. My only option is to leave my shirt on, and fold the bag in half. Trouble is I cannot control how much comes out of me into the bag, and how many guys could handle having oral sex with a man that has a big bag of you know what right next to his junk? Would you play with guy with an ileostomy bag? What would you do if you were in my situation? I used to cycle 50-100 kilometres a day, I worked really really hard to keep a good body, but the surgeons did a lot of damage…BUT, thankfully, the worm still works perfectly, and my insanely high libido is stronger the older I get, but unfortunately the fish won’t bite anymore, HELP!!! What do I do???? I have to admit I am…or shall I say, was, a bit of an exhibitionist, (thought I’ll admit I still wear pants that really shows off my best assets). I always have been insatiable, until I went through all these operations, which completely destroyed my self-esteem. I still have the same body, I go to the gym at least five times a week, and worked with a personal trainer for 2 years, to regain the body I lost, but I never go to the locker room anymore. I hop in my car and shower when I get home instead, and I can’t even shower very long because the adhesive holding the bag on, starts peeling off, and if it ever fell off in public, I swear to God I would just die on the spot from embarrassment! I’m willing to bet you’ve probably never seen a guy like myself in the baths have you? That one time I went to the beach I did an experiment to test the waters, so to speak. When I first got there with my friends, we all sat down, I left my shirt on, and took off my shorts and underwear to show the goods, and as ALWASY, got an instant woody….. every guy that walked by couldn’t take their eyes off me, more accurately, off my boner (my friends are evil, they know if anyone stares at it, I get rock hard in seconds). Then I took my shirt off and stood up, every single guy that was just drooling at me turned around and walked away as fast as they could. It was the most dehumanizing and humiliating experience of my life, I was literally in tears coming back on the ferry, knowing that I would never again be able to go back there and have all the fun that I used to have before I got sick. My apologies for rambling on, but I really don’t know what to do, and I absolutely , desperately, miss causal sex!!! What would you do? I trained so hard (pun intended!) to get my body back in shape after being so sick, only to discover not one guy will even touch me, makes me so upset! But, to be fair, I also workout to keep myself healthy, so if I get sick again, my body will be strong enough to handle it, I just never anticipated the horrible reactions to having this bag, and all the scars that cannot be removed by a plastic surgeon (I already tried to no avail), HELP!

Wow. Let me begin by saying that although my situation is different than yours, I have a small idea what you're going through. When I was diagnosed HIV+, it was so far gone that I had to jump on meds and chemo right away. The chemo, though it got me better, initially made me worse. My right leg suffers from light lymphedema, meaning it looks swollen. As someone who has traded off their looks all their life, to have that seemingly taken away, was devastating. This is a chronic condition that I will have for the rest of my life. So I do understand what it is to have something taken away and the need to adjust to a 'new normal'. It's not easy. It's taken me years to even wear shorts again. For you, there will need to be an acceptance that this is your 'new normal'. You need to find a way to accept it and work with what you have. (I know, easier said than done). I would suggest finding a way to wear a shirt to hide the bag. If we're talking about casual sex, there's no need to do a full disclosure of your condition and the bag. If you can find a style of shirt, maybe something a bit tighter to hold the bag close to you and out of the way.... what I'm suggesting is to MacGyver the situation to work for you. Trial and error. Source out different types of shirts and find the fit and style that best hides the bag and makes sense in the situation. And luckily for you the worm still works!

@@PatrickMarano thanks babes….I totally forgot you were positive, but it makes no difference to me. I always play safe, so it’s not even a consideration (i’ve been exposed to HIV literally hundreds of times over the years, but I’m one of those very rare people that, for whatever reason, I simply cannot get it, it won’t survive in my system. They did a bunch of tests about 10 years ago, exposing my blood and tissue to HIV, because I was over indulging too much, and I was concerned, but when they gave me the results, I couldn’t believe it. I’m immunocompromise because of my Crohns disease, yet HIV cannot survive inside my body, even though the doctors and researchers have absolutely no explanation for it, I’m just that weird!). But, I am sorry that you had to go through all that crap, because as you know, I know exactly how it feels, and it’s not easy at first. But when it comes to that issue, or any STD for that matter, as I have told many friends, it’s not up to you to keep other people safe. Even if somebody chooses not to disclose their status, if they don’t want to play safe, that is not your fault, even though the first thing they try to do after being diagnosed, is try to assign blame to the other person, when it’s their own fault to begin with for not protecting themselves. I would estimate at least 60% of my friends and people I play with, are positive….but who cares? Because I have a medical background, I know everything I need to know to keep myself safe, and usually to keep the person I am with safe too. Most people disclose their status, but it’s not exactly a great icebreaker! Lol! Same goes for my bag, it’s definitely not the first words out of my mouth. Luckily I have managed to stay STD free. Because Crohn’s disease causes you to be immunocompromised, I do have to be careful, (even though HIV cannot survive in me, every other STD can, so I still have to be very careful) but no more than I would even if I didn’t have it. A lot of my friends that tested positive reacted like complete idiots, trying to blame, sometimes even take legal action, against the person they think they got it from. But most of these guys sleep with a different man every night, seldom used protection at all, but refuse to accept any responsibility for their actions. Because I know the vast majority of people can live a complete full lifespan, thanks to modern medication (and it’s no longer considered a terminal disease, but a chronic one instead), I seriously never even consider it when dating somebody and thinking about the potential of having a relationship with them. I’m haven’t been that big on monogamy in the past, but I’m thinking about finding a husband now. I was with one guy for over a year, who was positive. He was such a sweetheart, super sexy, kind, compassionate…all the things I want in a guy. But he was always questioning why I wanted to keep seeing him. For some reason, he thought that having HIV meant he didn’t deserve to be loved ever again, until we sat down and had a really long conversation, and I finally convinced him that his way of thinking was total nonsense, that it is completely irrelevant when it comes to love and relationships. Everyone is responsible for their own safety, yet nobody wants to accept any responsibility if anything happens, there’s just too much hypocrisy in our community. We only lasted about a year, but he was so paranoid that I might end up positive, he ended the relationship without even discussing it with me, that hurt, it hurt a lot, because I kept reassuring him countless times I did not care about his health status, and reiterated constantly that I was responsible for my own safety, not him, and that if anything ever did happen, I would never in a million years, ever even suggest it could be his fault, but he simply could not except that, he was so committed to punishing himself for a mistake that he made decades ago, and unfortunately I see a lot of my HIV positive friends who think the same way. Anyways….If I was younger, and met you in the baths or the beach, or a locker room, a public bathroom, a bar, an alley, a park, a..well, you get the idea….you wouldn’t be able to walk for a few days, because I have always thought that you were really attractive, and even more important, you are such a sweet guy, seriously. Are you blushing yet? I’m not hitting on you, I’m just telling you what I think, because you’re exactly the kind of guy I’m looking for, and not just because of your looks, your personality is everything I would look for in a guy too, but no worries, I’m not going to be waiting outside your door! Lol! But when I see a really good looking guy, I never hesitate to tell them that I think they’re really attractive, and you’re at the top of a lot of guys lists! blushing yet? You have the most beautiful hair, of which I’m jealous as all hell, because mine fell out after my treatments. The doctors promised me it would grow back as soon as the chemotherapy stopped, they lied! (They used several different chemotherapy medications to try to slow down the Crohn’s disease, and they worked, but at a very high price, the permanent loss of my hair) I’d ALWASY had a very thick head of blonde wavy hair, but now it’s more a flesh tone, just another side effect of everything I’ve been through. Took me a long time to accept it, but I’m used to it now. As long as the most important parts of me are still working, then I shouldn’t complain because I’m still here. Thanks for the advice, I have tried a few of the things you mentioned, but maybe I’ll try it a different way, because I have a body very similar to yours, I can wear a tight clothing that could conceal the bag, especially if I fold it in half and tape it in place. It’s a bit of a pain, but whatever works! I guess all of us have at least one thing we hate about our looks…. but after I wrote the response I posted, I started thinking about it, and realized that every single guy I know, and girl, all have at least one, if not more, things that they hate about the way they look, things that are beyond their control. every once in a while, like when I wrote this post, it feels nice to get it off my chest, just to vent. But, when I sit down and think about it, I’m ashamed for complaining about it, when the reality is I should be dead, four times already, so compared to that anything is an improvement, so I guess I really have nothing to complain about. It just gets me down once in a while, because you know how superficial our community can be, and it drives me crazy being judged upon something of which I have no control over. Hopefully one day I’ll find the right guy, because truth be told, I do want to settle down with a guy I can trust, somebody that will love me unconditionally, and not care about the ileostomy bag. I’m in no hurry, but if you have any single friends that would be willing to date a guy like me, hit me up! Most guys tell me I’m a perfect gentleman, but after they see the bag, most of them make a sudden excuse that they have to suddenly leave, but I’m sure that one day I’ll find a guy that has everything I’m looking for who won’t run away when I show them what this disease has done to me. Compared to the problems other people might have, I’m actually really lucky, and you remind me of that, so thanks Patrick, you really are a sweetheart. I’ve been watching your channel for ages now, and I’ve also got a lot of my friends to start watching you too, and we all appreciate every single video that you make, using your intelligence, your humor, your experiences, and be honest, your sexy bod, to teach us all sorts of different things. Even though we’ve never met in person, although I hope one day I’ll have the honour of doing just that, I truly appreciate what you’re doing more than you could ever know. Ps - would you ever consider making a video about what we were just talking about, things people hate about themselves physically, and perhaps psychologically? I think it would be really interesting to hear of all the things people hear about themselves, things that most of us would never even notice. It’s human nature, we are our own worst critic, because of what we put so much focus on, most of the people never even notice. Hell, if you’d like, I even go to the street and ask people for you. I’ve been with a lot of really good looking guys, and it always surprises me that these guys, that to me looked absolutely perfect, I have so many things they hate about themselves and/or the way they look. I think that something we need to change, to become a more excepting and inclusive community, not so judgemental all the time, what do you think?

Don't forget to mention... some showers have timers on them, you turn them on and they automatically turn off in 10 seconds. Annoying! Hard to do a photoshoot in there when the model has to keep turning the water back on. Surprised Mark was able to get that stream going as long as he did! Oh, and the shower gels in those dispensers? Smell like harsh cleaning chemicals! And, you're right they don't soap up - hard for models to lather up for those shoots!

Hmmm well, People like touch. Especially if they're drunk or it's a close buddy. It's not always sexual. I wouldn't worry about anything unless you feel uncomfortable, in that case you should let him know, I'm sure he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable. Or, if you think he might want more, you could ask him, just don't be confrontational about it or judgemental. Imagine from his perspective if he is 'gay' or has 'gay feelings', he's probably scared to come clean. If he's your friend, make it a comfortable space for him to be honest with you and let him know you won't 'reject' him as a friend, even though you don't feel the same way.
