Gay Christian Justin Lee at Baylor University: "Christianity and LGBTQ Persons"

Sooo...this was a big deal.
In the first event of its kind, I was invited to speak at Baylor, a prominent Baptist university in Texas, on Christianity and the LGBTQ community.
I wrote a brand-new talk for the occasion, covering the history of LGBTQ conversation in the church, the ex-gay movement, and three different approaches Christian institutions often take. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Wait... seriously?! A big Baptist school had you speak?! That means there is hope after all that Baptist may eventually be accepting or at least not "ex gay" stance Also this speech was amazing! Loved every minute of it.

Justin! I'm your biggest fan! I know I should share your messages more on my media platform but I don't because I'm about to start my third year at Bible School and I don't want anything to hinder me finishing because I need some credibility when I decide to come out publicly like you and defend our right to be Christians and share in the salvation God intended for ALL of us through Jesus Christ. And I'm learning from you and I am forever grateful for you using your gift to teach. Thank you, thank you , thank you. May God bless you and put a wedge of protection around you man of God.

Justin I have just discovered your videos and teaching and I want to say how thrilled I am to hear what you have to say. Of all your videos I particularly liked your message in ‘Difficult conversations, when they won’t listen’. I just love the way you changed the narrative, as did Jesus, from questions that will never have a convincing answer to statements that open up the understanding of what God thinks of all people and that His greatest message is love and acceptance. I am not gay/lesbian, but I have tried to be an advocate for these precious people, to bring awareness to my church of the huge damage that has been done in the past and to offer a different way of discussing this issue. I feel you have given me that different way at long last. Thank you.

thank you for mentioning trans people! i always hear about sexuality from other speakers but never gender identity so thank you! (im a trans person myself )
