Great Video Kyle! Thank you for sharing your addition to us and congrats on being sober for 11 years. You seem like a very strong person-you have a great personality and seem so warm and caring. I love your videos. I know your family was there for you all the way. We are nothing without our family. You've been sober for a long time and you got this-you will be sober your whole life. Tell Ali thank you for being there for you. I was at the August 5th game in Orlando and sad that I didn't get to speak to her, but understood she was in a hurry because you were there-that's how much a sis loves her brother. Would love to have been able to meet you also!! I was in heaven after several players did get pics with me-Till next video-you take care and you are loved!

Im glad you shared this with us. I know you are kinda open with talking about it too and you decide not to make it as emotional as it can be, but a teachable moment on not to put yourself into this dangerous life. Your words are very loud and heard and we appreciate that you are gracious enough to speak with us about your addiction and how we can either stay away from it or overcome it. Im proud you've made it this far and i believe you can make it your whole life without this demon trying to drag you down. #567

I think it's really wonderful how open you are to talking and sharing your story about addiction and alcoholism. I went through a period of my own self-destructive habits and have seen close family members and friends struggle with their own addiction or the addiction of someone close to them. I feel like there's not enough open communication when it comes to the subject of alcoholism, addiction, and mental health in general. People like you who share their stories and educate others are helping to break some of the stigma and open the possibility for better communication, which in turn will make getting help easier for people. Keep on keepin on Kyle, you're doing great things

thank you for making this video and being so open about your recovery process. i have never done any hard drugs, but i've still fallen into a habit of using substances to relieve my anxiety. i decided to start by taking a month off substances, so that i can build some healthy habits for this school year. sometimes i feel alone and it makes it extremely difficult to keep going. so thank you for reminding me that i'm not alone. you're not alone either. sending love and hugs and positivity

As a film school student you should stop using auto focus. xD Love the video Kyle! I think it's amazing that you're sharing this with us. Thank you.
@klwl6 жыл бұрын
I was about to post a similar suggestion to deactivate auto-focus on your camera, and decided to check the comments first to see if any one else noticed. I suspect your camera is high-end and highly sensitive to motion, so whenever you move or gesticulate, it tends to zoom out and in again, creating momentary blurring...

I don’t drink excessively or do drugs, but this video is inspiring. I drink socially, but it’s not something I need to have a drink time. I’ve contemplated quitting drinking many times because it ruins my budget when I go out. It also ruins my body as I’m trying to lose weight and be healthier. Overall it makes me less conscientious and I crave terrible foods afterwards. Today is the day that I will start sober living.

the concept of not being able to drink socially is viable for you but that isn't how allergies work. Not getting enough drug is part of addiction and could possibly be your metabolism - how your body processes drugs and alcohol. Using your voice to keep talking about this is so powerful.

When NA didn’t work for me, I turned to myself. People try getting me to go to a meeting with them and I say no. Too many messy people there that I’ve met and after five years, I felt myself alone with support from no one, not even a sponsor. I gave them all a big who want to speak, told them about my non support for a year despite my reaching out and my last goodbye and walked out. I tried find a sponsor Alford well over a year a different meetings and locations. None lived up to what they say they do and I am not a demanding person. I ask once and never again when turned away. I never called people in the middle of the night. I never wanted their social time, which I think they hated. So all I could think was being a sponsor or supporter wasn’t enough, they wanted my time, which I wasn’t giving nor felt I needed to give other than to network within the program. That wasn’t enough. That was 11 years ago and I’m fine, alone, without them. I’m simply not a social person because I’ve always been awkward socially. Had more drug friends that clean friends. So, alone I am, except my significant other who does drink. Non drinkers were a huge turn off for me. No umphh
