I first saw this show in highschool. I'm now grown, married with a child 12 years later and i STILL love this show. It made me cry too many times. Laugh and I loved the characters as well as their growth❤

One of my favorite shows of all time. It rewired my entire brain. I saw it as it was airing on Showtime--people were freaking out. My mom and I watched it together. Then we watched Noah's Arc (which aired on Logo), which is much much better than the L Word IMO. I'm excited to relive the iconicness watching your reactions! ^0^

I don’t know if anyone else commented by out of the entire season 1 main cast only TWO of the actors are actually gay. Ryan Harrison/Justin & Peter Paige/Emmet Honeycutt.

I was parroting Brian's line about how fucking is "honest and efficient" for the longest time when I was a youngin'. The impact!! The early cruelty makes the continued growth so much sweeter. 103-04: You asked if there really was a gay area like this, yes! They filmed a lot of stuff in Torontos gay village! Woody's is Woody's (been there a few times!) and Babylon was a club named Fly, which no longer exists but I'm sure there are new equivalents. Liberty diner wasn't in that hood but close to me. It's a vegan spot these days!

So thrilled to have somebody review this series, I remember when this serious came out way back in an early 2000s I was in the 8 grade, sneaking watching it on tv, afraid to get caught by my parents....I grew up in a very religious household, and couldnt come to terms of who i am.....im married with kids now, but still wishes i was brave enough to come out as Bisexual, but i cant risks destroying my family i have now, so im stuck...anyways love the review

My absolute favourite show!!! If the controversy is about the age gap... in the UK version the Justin character was 15 😅 Brian is my favourite TV character of all time, and well, Justin/Brian is the best couple. It comes into its own a lot more once it's done with the UK plotlines though so going to enjoy the ride!! And probably leave a lot of comments...

Ted, Scott Lowell & Michael, Hal Sparks are straight besides Brian, Gale Harold. Everyone else is gay. I watched this phenomenal show on Showtime when it first came out. The character of Michael never appealed to me at all, I thought he was not a good friend to Brian at all & yes, he was always in love with him his whole life. I saw Randy Harrison, Justin in Cabaret a few years ago here in Boston, amazing!

I always feel sorry for Michael because no matter what he does or who he meets he always has Brian at the back of his mind however I have always liked Brian because he has guts , money , style and deep down does care about his friends .

Spoiler Alert I am glad they stay friends sometimes better NEVER go to the romantic route I think the reason why Brain never seek the relationship (they hook up one or twice) that he wanted Michael STAY IN HIS LIFE. They friends at age 14 years old. ( Brain had flings all over the place a regular slut)

Still loving David and Michael!!!! information (for people) that the actor who plays David was going stay for few episodes, they keep ask him back and then on season 2 they ask him to stay. The actor Chris Potter lived in San Diego at the time and was driving back and forward was says lot of the money to be driving back and forth. So he ask for more money then said NO that it, He never sign up the season 2. I like David I am so piss off if ONLY they gave him more money (I really this character for Michael) (the UK version Ted or character died of the drug overdose) glad he didn't pass away in this version. That move with that nice guy BAD MOVE Ted!!!, stop being superficial. When I think about Ted's attitude towards the guy maybe he wasn't his type it like you LOVE Chocolate ice cream, but you LIKE Vanilla Ice Cream. Red Roses Vs White Roses which do YOU like the best.

Last time i saw this was back in 2014 to 2015. 19 at the. A decade later, i am shocked over how much i feel for Brian and empathize with him. Funny: never thought he would be a lowkey influence on me growing into an open gay guy. This is going to be interesting.

Actually, it was the original British show that was ahead of its time. This was great, at least the first couple of seasons, but it was a remake. And in the original, Justin was only 15, so this version was way less gutsy

I love this show/series. Have you seen that reboot that just got canceled? I’m glad to be honest because there’s none of the OG cast there all completely new, and whether it’s a TV show or a movie nothing beats the original straight up and also this show don’t get the respect it truly deserves because they started this unlike the L word that’s way more popular but the men were they are first 👆🏾🎾😘🔥🙏🏾👍🏾🌹🥰✅ There’s also the UK British version that they have on Tubi just started watching that not too long ago. It’s good too like the American. 🇺🇸 version
