Two beautiful kids of two great and beautiful dads...makes me feel happy to see a happy family no matter gay or straight. Because a family is a family.

I am a gay male whom has had 27 exchange students over the years. I am so glad that Europeans are not so hung up on people being gay. All they wanted was that I make sure their sons were safe and taken care of. I will say this once these kids were here for a few weeks, they became my "sons". I loved them as if they were one of my own. No one would try and hurt one of my "sons" because they would have to get through me first. Now at 61 I am trying to adopt a older child, to give them a home to call their own, a family to call their own, because they say older kids usually do not get adopted as often as younger kids, and most age out of the system. I want to give a child someone they know loves them, cares about them, and will be there for them for many years to come.

So true! I never wondered "why" I didn't have a father (i have 2 moms). I eventually asked about how I was conceived, but there was no sense of a missing family member or where is 'dad'. It just doesn't cross your mind, because your family is not missing anything.

Would rather children be safe, wanted and loved in a gay household, then abandoned and abused by alcholic or drug abusive straight parents. If children are loved surely that's the most importent thing

Family love story of Ron and Greg Poole-Dayan and their twins Tomer and Eleanor. This story shows, what see and feel the same-sex parents, how the world gets a pair of fathers and their children, how to rise and educate the kids to meet and compete against the reactions of society. It's hard to describe the joy we feel, the Grandparents in Israel and Canada.

Children who are brought up by gay parents will save the world because they're taught love and acceptance towards all humanity while kids raised by homophobics are taught to hate and segregate>{ if someone is bad they're just bad it got nothing to do with region or gender and there's no excuse for hate.

People who stand against same-sex parents should really see this documentary. It gives a very authentic picture that there's nothing special about same-sex parents. On the contrary, same-sex parents even need to put more efforts to protect and educate their children because of the stereotypical judgements from the society. Pay extra attention at 4:05. It really explains everything.

Absolutely lovely family. As part of a hetro family (female) I kept my maiden name. My son is now 24. In grade 3 I volunteered in his class. I was introduced as Mrs. son’s last name & I said no, I am Ms. my maiden name. All of the kids looked at me , in shock, with open mouths. Meanwhile, my son stayed on task, not missing a beat. People had said that I would have to take my husband’s name as it would be easier on the children. Children are not fazed by what is their normal.

Do you ever think about the feelings and the situation of the children who are affected? The rights of the children always come first. Many homosexual people are also saying that.
@superstubes

Morgoth from Angband It's a good point. As long as the kids are loved and cared for - that's the most important. Yes -I'm sure there might be some silly bullies at school that might take a shot.

@morgothfromangband6082 9 жыл бұрын
superstubes I was talking about the complications for these children: 1. no mother, 2. Danger of molestation, 3. They will start asking questions about their origin, 4. These children are no objects and have parents who are probably looking for them. 5. Probably they are not even loved by the adopting gays. 6. The fact to know that their real parents could possibly have rejected them will make them suffer. All this will damage the child and would hurt him/her.
@superstubes

Most kids DON'T have a mother and a father. 50% of straight marriages in the USA end in divorce. Many kids are raised by single parents, remarried parents, grandparents, adoptive parents, extended families, gay parents, etc.

But...it's not just about your kid's comfort. Changing Mother's Day at their school? The children from traditional families have the same rights as your children. And you are not minorities, you are human like everyone else, so that means you part of the majority. I am a gay , and wish our community would stop thinking we are "special" because of our sexuality.

When 2 gay people have a child that isn't of their own gender, how do they deal with the child once they hit puberty? I can't imagine the daughter feeling comfortable asking her fathers for period supplies and bras/underwear.
@yv9397
@yv9397 7 жыл бұрын
Many girls don't feel comfortable asking any parent those questions, if the parents are not open. These dads are super open to discussing difficult topics, obviously. I can imagine them sharing a great resource with the kids, like a women's health book. Plenty of girls with straight moms don't talk about body stuff either due to the mom's uptightness or now knowing how to handle it, right? It depends on the parents.
