But leftists only care about accepting differences when it suits them. That's what I've observed. They're all for empathy, love is love, etc. but the minute you question their doctrines, they swarm and attack you like an outsider and a threat. When I see conservatives behave, they're likelier to debate with you or just simply move on. Therefore, my conclusion is this, some things like universal principles and moral law are foundational. We should love and respect one another. But we shouldn't go so as far as violating our foundations to accommodate "differences". Some boundaries shouldn't be moved. They're time-tested and have brought us the prosperity and wealth we enjoy today in this great nation. Let's be careful, be open to debate, and get to the bottom of things instead of attacking each other for different views.

@@hellotheremyolfriend I agree that we need more care and respect in how we treat each other. It works best that way. Fear of the other is what drives most of this behavior. We can respect the person and their choices/beliefs (so long as they are not hurting others). I always say it's not the LGBTQ+ lefts that are the problem, it's the parents of these questioning marginalized groups. This isn't "existing" but making propaganda to trick people, who have to rephrase everything, like experience frmale puberty to play in women's sports, to avoid a lawsuit. I've even read stories of how some of these ex-men break into women's shelters and demand priority. But can't say they're trying to replace biological women. Similarly, in a ton of shows today, they make shirtless men eye candy (can't objectify women like how xmen 97 shrunk rogue, but we must have magneto in bondage and underwear) and try to remove any kind of tension between lesbian couples (like how Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are more pushed/idealized than Korra and Asami). Am I supposed to not notice? It really isn't fair to try to make me watch, tell me my familiar IP hasn't estranged me for views like xmen (morph x wolverine, or comic polygamy with wolverine, cyclops and jean grey) or star wars, or call me names. There's tons of yaoi/yuri mangas and lgbt stories nobody knows about because the IP isn't brand recognition of popularity, so they piggyback to change it. Of course teach won't ever cover this. Though at least some stuff is kid appropriate like inside out 2, Legos and Ariel on Disney Jr (without Melissa Mccarthy overselling drag queens, which makes it seem she had no idea how to be a woman/Ursula without them in the live action bad little mermaid). Queen Latifah was a nice Ursula too, lesbian and no push because there are better things to do.

@willmont8258 I grew up in Kansas in a time without youtube and much social media other than facebook and we didn’t have cable at the time either. In contrast to many of those who grew up in larger cities, I didn’t even know what the word gay meant. I found out what it meant after being called gay by strangers I had never met and then after looking things up online figured out what they had meant. How do you think it makes a child feel when they are 8 years old with strangers asking you if you’re gay at school and at camp, and you don’t even know what the word means, let alone why they are asking despite it being none of their business? No single adult-my parents or teachers-ever told me what it meant and I didn’t even know if it was normal to be that way. I kept it bottled inside for years and it ate me alive. I was bullied at school and had an abusive dad at home and a sick mom, so who was I to turn to? Had I had a single adult tell me that it’s normal, it could have erased the sleepless nights and suicidal ideations because I knew that what I was feeling was normal. You have to understand that times were very different then and that in some families still, being gay will get you kicked out of their house and shunned by their community. With that being said, a teacher lending a hand may be the safest adult to cling to in order to ensure the child’s safety. I hear where you are coming from but in your comment, you make the erroneous assumption that all families accept LGBTQ folks and that their parents will talk about it at home-well, that’s not at all the reality and organizations like “Gay Straight Alliance” or having an LGBTQ teacher as a mentor on how to navigate their home situation and feelings allow kids a venue to talk freely about their thoughts and feelings in a safe space for visibility when they may not receive that at home. Bringing up their sexuality to their parents at home is something that could even put the child’s safety and wellbeing at risk, let alone compromise their relationships with their family and possibly the house they call home. Thus, why not provide an avenue for kids to discuss this at school? Or would you rather kids resort to trying to find an online community that may compromise their safety in a different way. You can try and censor your children all you want, but with ubiquitous technology, they will find a way to deceive you as a parent regardless, but this depends on how open you are to discuss this as well as the access to other people that can mentor them at school or a place of worship for example. It’s like you can have organizations based on race at school like a Black or Asian student organization, you can have robotics clubs and community service clubs, but you can’t have a safe space for LGBTQ students or those questioning their sexuality a safe space to discuss this simply because it’s about sex? If they can’t discuss it at home then where else with a trusted adult? The irony is states like Oklahoma and Louisiana are quick to put a copy of the 10 commandments in the classroom despite the fact that many folks are either atheists or are of a religion other than Judaism and Christianity and yet having a safe space for LGBTQ teens to talk freely about their thoughts and feelings when they may be unable to at home seems like the most unreasonable thing to them. No one is insinuating that they should talk about sexual activity, but if they can’t talk about loving someone of the same sex at home, or at school, online is all you have left-and with sexual predators, sextortion, and pornography, that seems like a stark contrast from having the ability to discuss it in schools if they have a tumultuous home life. While many with your perspective see this issue as black and white, it is far from it and while I respect your opinion and understand it, I urge you to think about things from a perspective other than your own.
