This is very well written. definitely conveys the essence of what goes in to a true relationship, rather than just a sexual experience. The acting is very good at showing the true feelings of what goes on in two people coming together, when both bring past baggage. None of us go into a relationship completely clean. relationships can be messy. Thank you for showing this.

The concept of a 'straight' man trying to educate a 'gay' man on true love and monogamy is kind of awesome, in my opinion. It starts to peel away at the label and instead talks mroe about the individual, which I love. This is great and I find the acting, the dialogue and the delivery refreshing and interesting, will definitely keep watching :) [putting aside everything I just said and Derek's comment about it being more than sex, I'm all for flashbacks on when they met and their crazy weekend of crazy sex, just saying ;)]

so this is a very interesting concept: A straight man is helping a 'gay' man to hold on to a relationship and so called love between two men! And im guessing that's why it made it looked like a straight guy is more into a gay guy which i like it. And as someone has also mentioned below sometimes it can also be 'more than sex' doesn't have to be about sex between two individuals.

Cameron came out early...he had sexual attractions to men at puberty and acted on them. His drive for sex is what has motivated him in all his relationships. Derek on the other hand is sexually attracted to women. His drive for sex with Cameron is motivated out of his love for him. It is Derek's deep desire to connect with Cameron emotionally that opens his sexual attraction to him. It s often said that the sooner one has sex with someone, the sooner the intimacy gets displaced, because the drive for sex can often overwhelm the drive for honesty and intimacy. Whether this is true or not is a topic up for discussion...it also happens to be the crux of Derek and Cameron's deepest connection and their deepest rifts.

Derek left the conversation because he was furious. But they are living together. So when he has the chance he asks Derek to help him...which is what the scene is about.
