@@TimMurphy41 I'll say this with the idea that you're trying not to be transphobic, as you are on a video literally about transgender people unless you're trolling. Saying "normal" would mean that there is something abnormal about trans people and there is not unless the specific person is physically or mentally unwell, and that is clinically an abnormality, although common in a lot of the population. But back to the point, there is nothing abnormal about transgender people and nothing inherently normal or abnormal about cisgender people because we are all different human beings with different experiences, and referring to a whole group of people as normal and another one as abnormal can come off as quite offensive If you understand what I'm getting at. I can try to educate you further about transgender folks if you'd like. I wish you well. I hope this helps.

I’m so excited to start. I knew since I was very young. I just forced myself to wait till I was legal to medically transition. I had the option at 17. I declined and took a two year period of trying my best to be happy being a girl, trying to accept my breasts and my body, my womanhood without preconception. I tried to *undo* my “brainwashing” to truly make sure to myself that it was something that I wanted. I’m certain. And I already have plans to only remain on T long enough to deepen my voice, as I already pass very well pre T.

Hiya, the wanted to say your story is similar to mine. I've got one of those dads that wanted me to stay female, so I lied to myself for years and almost believed it for awhile. But as soon I moved away, all the original feelings from since I was a kid came back, and now I'm certain I want to transition. Sorry, I just think its cool to know someone else understands, so many do nowadays, it means something to me.

@@truchox I was given the option before I was mature enough to understand the full implications. You could tell a kid not to touch a flame but they still would from temptations. I was given the option far too soon. But I was proper enough to halt and really think about my body, what it was, the permanence. To the point I tried to rewind and settle with myself and found I just can’t. I know all about the effects both permanent and temporary. It is partially a reason why I won’t be on it for the long haul (albeit this doesn’t lower my chances for many things) I know many young people go into this as a desperate plea to fix themselves and I was like that too at one point. The pandemic allowed me to get away from the public eye and truly discover things and get the psychological help I needed. Before I felt like I was racing against a clock. I don’t feel that way anymore so wether I prescribe myself now as a legal adult or wait a few years, it’s a plan that isn’t based on haste. And I appreciate that you go in trying to talk to us (essentially) children. I have a lot of opinions on the medication. Many that have had the trans community turn against me and call me horrible things because I don’t agree with the echo chambers. I have no comforts with being “trans” my goal is to quietly exist the way my brain tortures me with and stay out of everyone’s way. The exact reason why we are given such a risky medication as a last ditch effort to fix the ailment.

I'm on T since almost 2 months. In 2 days it'll be 2 months. My voice became deeper already, but not all people hear it. I asked friends for feedback. Some told me they can hear that my voice is deeper. Others say they can't hear a difference. I think the difference is very slight and people need to know my voice before very well, to be able to actually hear it. Two friends and my sister said, they can hear the difference. Some other family members say they don't hear any. Also i think it depends on how i speak. I'm trying to unlearn myself to speak in high pitches like women do. I try to keep my voice low. I think in two more months the difference will be even easier to hear. Update: I'm now 8 months on testo. My voice became a lot deeper. I can reach down to 102 Hertz when i give my absolute best. But in daily talking i'm around 115 hertz. It's still the masculine range. I'm very proud of my voice now. With my old high pitched voice i always felt like a clown or squeaking toy, couldn't take myself serious. Now i can take myself serious finally, and i feel sooooo good!

I used to be on hormonal pellets. I had a full hysterectomy and I wasn’t producing any hormones. My body was so out of wack so my doctor decided to put me on these pellets. I was taking estrogen and testosterone. I can’t recall the exact dose that was given because it was different every three months. After taking testosterone for 5 months, I definitely noticed a change in my voice it was very raspy, very deep and when I tried to sing, my voice couldn’t hit certain notes and my throat would hurt really bad. When my doctor noticed she started lowering the dose. When I hit the 3rd yr mark, my voice was very different and I can say my vocal cords were damaged when singing. I wasn’t taking testosterone because I wanted to transition into a man. It was for other reasons, but I have decided to stop doing the hormonal pellets for that reason of my vocal cords being affected 😩 if you are thinking of taking any hormonal supplements. Be sure to do a lot of research on the pros and cons and ask your doctor questions on the side effects.

I applaud your being better and better able to "present'" the way you want to be identified and experienced, and the way you want to see yourselves. Just hope there aren't any medical downsides
@fleek631910 ай бұрын
there are not many really, some diseases get more likely but it's not really a problem unless you have a pre-condition like high blood pressure. You get checked out by the doctor prescribing you hormones of course. Also, you have to do regular check-ins at your doctor where your hormone levels get checked every few months and if something comes up you can talk with your doc about what to do. Overall HRT is very safe and has lower risks than many common medications like pain pills and medically transitioning has extremely low regret rates (

I''ve been so worried that what if my voice won't deepen enough, sonce I have bright and high voice and I hate it. I' m so glad of the changes of some of these which felt similar on their stage pre T. I feel like I have a chance.

@Coda24_24 yeah I'm trans ftm Haven't started T yet and I have pretty high and feminine voice which causes me very much dysphoria so that's why I'm worried it won't get deeper at all

You can try doing alot of gradual voice training, in middle school i had a fuckin barbie voice that i hated, now its low enough to pass occasionally, try clearing your throat alot, drink water to help with that, try speaking with your chest and have a more relaxed tone in your voice, i hope this helps 😊
