Ooh you received hairy ànd fuzzy yarn!!! 🤣 Still cracks me up hahaha I’ve got some of that flower trim myself, of which you got multiple colors there. It really is great just to snip of a flower and put it on something yes. I bought a couple of meters in the white a few months ago. I coffee dyed half of it. And just yesterday I colored one with green and pink alcohol ink markers. It turned out too cute! Enjoyed watching all the lovelyness you received and all the lovelyness you made! Oh such fun goodies Gayle!!! Those laces though!!! 😱😍 When you said the red, blue and purple laces (with the almost netted background) would be fun for layering I was actually looking at them wondering if they are a kind of honeycomb shape. I was almost considering a mixed media project with the lace, followed by gesso, then perhaps some tea, vintage photo ink (diluted) or maybe even some simmer sprays or water colour and letting that run over the gesso lace to highlight the shape of the lace!!! Even your fun finds inspire me lol. You made some truly beautiful ephemera using some of your new treasures!!! Love them!!! Hugs, Sharon 🌷💜

Good Morning Gayle. You know the book of flowers you were looking at and you were saying the pages are too big to use in certain things, before you fuzzy cut out the pictures or make envelopes, scan them. You then can resize the pictures and put them on a collage and make journaling cards out of them.

Some fabrictac dripped on my mat and I didn’t catch it in time; unfortunately it ate a hole in my mat. Not all the way through but I had to cover it with a piece of tape. My mat is old but I do take good care of my things. By the way, after making close to 500 masks and keeping my area super clean and sanitary, I have been excitedly crafting and am happy to report that I have been doing an excellent job of keeping my area really neat. Hey Gayle, for the botanicals...the bigger flowers...could you cut it out and glue half on one page and then the other side over to the next page and glue it down there? Then, when you go from one page and flip to the page behind, you see the entire flower. I did this with an animal scene I loved, but it was too big for the one page, so I bent it over and did two. FabriTac can be a pain, but it sure does glue things down. Oh my gosh, Gayle, the Scan n Cut is awesome! I am so happy that my hubby was so good to me! But still have to cut some things by hand. But what I really want to try out with that is making my own stencils. Excited to try that. More pretty cards! 💕 That lacey one at the end is so nice! Well, time to sleep! See you in the next videos! Sue

@@gayleagostinelli_ct, I thought I would share this. Our previous messages got me thinking about a class I took in college. This is only a tiny section of text consisting of 370 pages. I'm going to study more in-depth because I'm a nerd lol. I've included a link to the PDF should you want to delve further yourself. That book was first printed in the 1950s. §302 · Duration of copyright: Works created on or after January 1, 1978 (a) "In General.-Copyright in a work created on or after January 1, 1978, subsists from its creation and, except as provided by the following subsections, endures for a term consisting of the life of the author and 70 years after the author’s death." www.copyright.gov/title17/title17.pdf Also, you can check gutenberg.org if the book is listed then it is no longer copyright protected and it can be scanned and resold. The Macmillan book of wildflowers is of course still protected under copyright laws.

Gayle, is it possible to scan the pages with the flowers that are too large to cut out and resize the scans to make them the right size. I actually do that with lots of my clip art. I dont think a photoshop programs is terribly expensive and if is pretty easy to use if you have a decent computer. I dont have anything but a tablet and a phone, but I downloaded a programme called college maker to my phone and table for free and it allows me to use my clipart by resizing and putting multiple copies and sizes on a page. Just a thought for perhaps getting more milage out of you goodies.

Wanna hear something totally weird? When I click on an Etsy link from the description box, it always comes up with European prices....even if it’s a US shop! Can’t figure out why. If I go to my Etsy, it comes up correct. 😳 If you lay your almost empty Fabric Tac glue on its side instead of upside down, it won’t bubble so badly. It keeps the glue close to the tip but not in the tip. 😊
