I really needed to walk this morning, but my headache said no…and then your video popped up and made my day! I’m working on tags for my husband’s military memories journal and have been moving at a snail’s pace😩. He was stationed in Crete and Key West so I’ve been giving it a Greek pattern theme with some beach and and Navy …and touches of weather forecasting symbols etc. It sounds like a lot, but it’s actually coming out pretty good. I wanted some tall tags since he’s a tall guy and needs good writing space, so I’m going to use the tracing paper idea and see what happens! Now, if I can get moving…headaches are the worst! 🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂

Good morning! I was just thinking about these the other day when you were doing forgotten friends. So glad you are crafting these for your newbies. I always think of Rachel when I see these. This looks like so much fun. Can’t wait to try it myself. I tried the momagami method on so many different kinds of paper and completely enjoyed the process. However, my pieces mostly tore and were still very stiff after they dried. I’m the only crafter around who can’t make the easy things! 😂 That will definitely not stop me from trying again. I am absolutely infatuated with Fluffy Bird and am on the hunt for that stamp.

Glad you gave momagami a try! Yes, you definitely have to be gentle with the paper. Maybe try a different type of lotion? Also, the bird stamp came from Hobby Lobby, if that helps! ❤

I have just received my order of StazOn ink pads to do this with. I have done some tracing paper strips before but I found that the Ranger Archival ink pads ink would take a while to dry down and so the stamped images would blur and not be defined(probably to do with the amount of humidity where I live) but I ain't givin up ☺. I so envy those cute bunny stamps you have Gayle. I've searched near and far but no luck here in Australia so far. 🥰☺

Gayle what’s rag paper, I’ve heard you and Rachel talk about different kinds of book page paper and I was wondering what the difference is?

Rag paper is a paper they used on really old books. It’s thick and doesn’t tear real easily. You can feel a texture to it. If you ever order a book page pack from Rachel, you’ll be able to feel the difference in the rag paper from regular paper. Hope that helps a little! ❤

I have missed quiet a few video as my now 10 month old granddaughter was diagnosed with a rare liver cancer back in May, she has been having chemo every 2 weeks, now we are waiting for surgery, which they don't do in our state ( Tasmania , Australia ) we have to travel to Victoria (Australia ), I will be there for 4 weeks. Give it a try! I’m not sure how transparent the paper you have is, so you may not see through to the design of the tag as well, but give it a try and see how you like it!! Have fun! ❤
