Working with tracing paper is so fun. I do fairly heavily collages strips, marking/stamping strips, too. My printer spits out beautiful florals for tags, and page edges. Your scraps diary idea 💡 today is so cool, Gayle!

I love the tracing paper strips. I watched part way, went back to where you started a new strip, started writing down the steps, and I now have a full set of steps to follow and not have to think. Then after I’ve learned the nonthinking process I can start making them on my own and change them up a bit🤗💕🦋

I definitely know that busy mom life. My twin daughters are now 31 and my youngest daughter is 30. I had the twins and then 362 days later I had my youngest. Life was crazy busy! They kept me super busy and they still do!! I now have 5 granddaughters. No boys over here! ❤❤

I know exactly how you feel! I raised 4 then added 4 more -8 kids and I would give anything to go back (to a younger me and spend time raising those babies again! I became an empty nester all at once! I got a job as a live-in nanny because what else would a stay at home mom do! Lol now I have 10 grandbabies and I also wonder how I did it! Lol bless the mom's with little ones! And sage advice embrace every minute because in the blink of an eye...it's just a fond memory!

I know how your daughter feels ❤ My boys will be 13 this summer.... and i feel like you Gayle, I would do anything to have a "baby-day" again. Thank God I have various phone clips and tons of pictures of them being silly and cute 💙💚 i love them so much and i try to cherish every moment I have with them, even when times are tough! I love that parchment paper you got at Hobby Lobby. I was just going to go to Joann’s today to get some blades for my paper trimmer because they’re on sale. The Joann’s closest to me only has one in stock according to the website but the one across town has five and it’s close to Dick Blick so maybe I could just make a little trek across town even though I don’t want to, there’s a Hobby Lobby over there too.

It’s so funny, I have a pile of these tracing paper strips that I made but I love them so much I haven’t been able to bring myself to use them. What I need to do is make some horizontal ones, I keep forgetting and I need some pockets for the current journal I’m working on so if I made some of these horizontal ones I could stick them on an index card or a scrap piece of paper and make cute pockets.

Yes, you could sure try tissue paper. Use what you have. I imagine you’ll get similar results. 👍❤️

I tried this on a roll of old receipt paper and idk if I just don't have the right things or what but I was sitting there for an hour trying all different things, ended up gluing down like 5 things and then i got stuck and ended up hated it, you make it look so easy ugh 😑😑😑😑

I just went today after Gayle showed it and it was it was over near the framing on the aisle that had all the markers and calligraphy stuff, art dept. not craft dept. hanging in a package. I didn’t get any because they had a pack of small sheets and then this pack of larger sheets was really yellow it wasn’t the darker color like Gayle had so I’ll go to a different Hobby Lobby or I’ll wait, I have several Hobby Lobby’s in my area.
