Boy I hear ya about the "tropical, mini vacations" LOL I'm so thankful mine are past for the most part (a few here and there - age 70 you'd think they would be completely gone, nope). Four years ago and look at how helpful your tutorial is to meet a newbie. I have to tell you have to tell someone, I Bit off more than I can chew I started my dad’s birthday pride present which is a junk journal of his favorite things, and I’ve been working on mini journals for Christmas for different families immediate families OMGosh I’m down to the finish line for both projects. This is so true that I am considering just putting the tags and different things into the mini Christmas journalist and I’ll glue the pockets in and they can put their own stuff and whatever they want it lol😮

The butterfly notepad was just single sheets of coffee dried paper glued together at the very top sheet by sheet . Then covered the icky looking stuff with ribbons. Like the saying is ' Do your best and caulk the rest'. I also just used a stitch stamp. It's a bo bunny stamp

Hey there, Gayle! It's been pouring rain for two days on our camping trip. My husband fell into the river fishing because the water level is up and the current stronger; the rock on the bottom is very slippery. I've been very worried about him going out in this bad weather. So, we went shopping this afternoon. Thrift shopping! Though, the first two shops were not the best...well, one didn't even exist, though Google Maps led us there. And we did finally make it to a Goodwill, though not the best I've been to. I did manage to find a few things, but had hoped to find some local kinds of things for the journal I'm making. Didn't find any. And I kept having coughing fits and that is no fun when you are out and about and one of those comes along. But I've been cooped up in the trailer for the past day or so and needed to get out. Goin' a bit stir crazy. We are bound to Niagra Falls tomorrow after my hubby gives the fishing a try again. Rain is supposed to clear up...so, hopefully, I'll be feeling better for that. It will be great seeing the Falls after all that rain. I've been before, but my hubby hasn't, so I'm excited to have him see it. Nice ephemera you are making. I have some really nice coffee filters I've been wanting to use. They are not the thin kind, but really thick, natural papers, of which I added even more coffee stain to them. So, the pockets using the filters will be perfect. The ones I have are a really fun texture. I like to stamp them up and cut out what I have stamped for things. We get them from Sam's Club. I'm sure that paper doll guy really appreciated you stapling him in the armpit. By the way he's got that funky, smug look on his face like he's saying, "I bet you didn't know I didn't wear any BO juice today". So, it probably serves him right to get stapled in the armpit. And by the way, Gayle, I think that guy is making some little tooting sounds... Oh, ummmm...oops...my bad...it's the Fabri-Tac doing that. Silly me! LOL But you know, it could've been the guy...I'm tellin' you girl, it could have been! Those paper dolls can become real after awhile! LOL Oh, but really, he's only a paper doll. So, thank goodness there isn't any smell coming out of him in any form or fashion, right?! And yes, I'm being silly. Did it make you laugh? If it didn't, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. This is kind of the 1/2 Newfy comin' out of me right now, which it does on occasion. Silly and goofy. LOL But honestly, when you stapled that armpit and started laughting... You know, you've gotta be careful with you are putting those staples and then start laughing. Never know what could come from it! LOL Then, the Fabri-Tac made those sounds. Well...I just couldn't help myself. So, I hope it made you laugh and you aren't too horribly mortified. Might be all the meds I'm taking for this cold thingy I've got. I am a little crazy right now. 😏 Oh, my gosh, who is that behind you? Oh, the paper dropped down. Scared me, too. LOL So, I'm not the only one being silly...seems your paper is getting a bit crazy, too, sitting on that shelf for so long! Paper needs attention, too, ya know! LOL Now, I'm laughing so hard and you are, too, which is good! My hubby is saying it's good to see me having fun. My Dad and stepmother are from Indiana. And my Newfy mother and daughter live there, too. So, I visit quite that State quite often. Lots of nice ephemera and fun today!
