New subscriber! I have very recently discovered junk journaling , seems to be very popular in America but not so much here in the Uk. I have been binge watching all the tutorials from yourself and many others but am yet to make my first journal. I used to do a lot of card making and then moved on the sewing. I make bags, cushion covers and clothing from recycled fabrics so have lots of scraps. I also still have lots of papers, inks, card, glue, stamps etc from my card making days so thought junk journaling would be a great way to use up all my ‘stash’. I even dabbled in book folding so have a small stash of old books! I really want to have a go but just don’t know where it start. Everything you make is just gorgeous, your tutorials are inspired and even your stories/chat is mesmerising. Huggles from Wales, Uk 🇬🇧

I have learned so much from watching you make the collage sheets and then turning them into tags, pockets, flips, etc. I also like how you "audition" things to decorate with before you start gluing down. I have to do the same thing, I can't just pick out something glue it down and then rummage around until I find the next thing to glue down. I like your thought process from the beginning to the end result. I hope the rain has ended and you have an awesome day!

I have done some of these collage sheets and it is so fun! You mentioned going to Brookings, Oregon, I live in Roseburg, Oregon which is about 75 miles inland from the coast. The Oregon coast is so beautiful, I hope you have had a chance to go north along the coast, Bandon is one of my favorite places. It is beautiful, there are many little shops to wander in, The Cranberry Sweets shop is a must, so many yummy things made from cranberries. The Face Rock Creamery is also fun to visit, lost of cheese samples and you can watch cheese being processed, also a great place to get ice cream! Thank you for sharing your talents, love your videos.

If you want to cover the back of collage sheets - just so they don’t curl - you could use full sheets of copy paper. Then if it becomes a pocket you haven’t wasted your “good” paper. If you use them as tags, the copy paper is thin enough to cover over with something pretty.

HI Gayle. I see that you have the same Fiskars Trimmer that I do. The orange extend ruler is impossible for my old eyes to see. I was using my strongest glasses and bright light and had to stand directly overhead to read the measurements. I marked mine up with black marker, and it looks like you have too. I sent Fiskars and email through their website, and they are sending me a replacement for free. Love your channel! I have learned so much. ~Sandy

I did a Gayle yesterday (aka inking and thinking) and thought to myself: this inking is like a drug, it causes all kinds of anxiety when not done. 🤨 hmmm... Timmy got us all hooked! 😲 Ooh I tell you something else that happened yesterday. I was making myself a banana smoothie. Got all the stuff in the blender cept for cinnamon. So dunked some cinnamon in there (I love cinnamon) only to find it was not cinnamon at all but curry powder. 😏 Luckely most of it drifted on top of the almond milk, so I dumped that and was able to rescue the rest. Had a lovely banana cinnamon smoothie with just a hint of curry. 😁 ❤️
