Question - what happens on a hard lean ? Unless they are higher than they look, I would be worried about them hitting on a lean which would be the same as hitting something solid like the frame since they have no hinge point Camera looks good !

Thanks man!!! And no worries on lean angle. Bung king did their homework for sure. You don’t even come close to scraping these until way past the available lean angle

I love your videos just disappointed that you didn't expand the video to show the exhaust side installation. I was able to find a video which showed the exhaust side install. As someone who owns an ST, that side is more difficult. If you are going to reinstall the stock mufflers, you need to remove the mufflers and the muffler bracket, not the whole system. I chose not to remove the head pipes. I cut off an allen wrench and fit it in the space behind the passenger peg crash bar and then, used an open end wrench to tighten the modified allen wrench which got my passenger peg crash bar tight. Due to my intake manifold being on backorder, I had to put my stock mufflers back on instead of installing my new 2 into 1 system. Just thought I would share. Also, can you tell me where you got the grip tape for your pegs?
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
Home Depot. 3m brand. And sorry I didn’t do it on the exhaust side because I don’t have stock exhaust. So even if I showed it you still wouldn’t have been helped by it because it’s not the set up you had and doesn’t interact the same at all. Appreciate you watChing !!!! 👊🏻

I honestly don’t remember. Sorry. Been a while since I had that exhaust. Just look at where the holes on the frame are and you should get a feel for whether or not you’ll have to remove the tbr canister

I have the same bags and would like these, however, Do they take the passenger pegs location? I wouldn't want to give up my pegs. Thanks.
@RidinDad3 жыл бұрын
Yes they do. They mount in the upper of the two locations for the passenger pegs areas. They can be used as passenger pegs though. Especially if you put that grip tape on them like I wound up doing they are very sturdy and are made to be used as a passenger Peg they just don’t look exactly like a typical passenger pegs. So it’s crash protection and a passenger pegs all in one
@RidinDad3 жыл бұрын
Unless you have a touring model or a dyna, you’re always going to give up the passenger peg for crash protection

At least for my bike it's the exact same process with no issues. My understanding is the only exhaust that causes issues is the stock fat bob style. I believe you will be fine

@@RidinDad So just an update, I got my sliders in and went to install them on my Fat Boy only to learn that the 2018 Fat Boy doesnt have the upper bolt for that peg slider to mount into.
