I always questioned how wide-spread and for how long these man to boy sexual relationships actually existed in ancient Greece. When I was a young student asked q professor how a play like Lysistrata coild ring true to an audience where all these male citizens were supposed have had these boy lovers. He had no answer for me. As I kept looking into the literature, which there isnt all that much of, it seemed as thought greeks made fun of other greeks by making them seem effeminate and thus gay. But that the overall eromenos/erastes relationship was mainly a tutorship program for citizenship of a city state and almost never a sexual relationship.

Thank you. Just seen this now. Again, given me a lot to think about. In Kenya and maybe other parts of Africa, the rite of passage for boys to become men is to swallow the sperm of men from the tribe. Strength is transferred from the man to the boy. I’ve thought of putting Bible verses at the end of my blog posts and the first I am going to do is to be free in Christ is to be free indeed. Yes, the lgbt, you must conform. They preach freedom but you must conform or you are cast out. Very narrow, very spiteful. The grooming thing, yes! Absolutely. Bit by bit. I am going to look at the female angle here because you guys are covering the male angle superbly. I will have a think about the female angle. Thank you and bless you 💜
