Forgive me but aren't they monophysite? Typically once one embraces one error, heresy, etc they can start down a slippery slope to embracing all sorts of others.

I was at St Mary of the Woods College near Terre Haute, Indiana recently for a wedding and was shocked that they are openly promoting homosexuality and the transgender agenda. They are even selling things of this nature in their gift shop which is right next to their main church building, I took pictures to share with others. This is my first time back to this place in over 8 years and I had previously thought of this institution as being very conservative for the most part but that apparently has gone completely out the window and sideways. May God have mercy on our souls! ☦️

Bless you Joseph. I recently made my way out of the hellhole of Roman Catholicism and was recently received into Holy Orthodoxy. Your content is incomparable.

There has been a lot of sexual abuse in the church. You are right about that. I’m sorry you were abused and harassed and that that priest decided to ruin your life then and there…a lot of those people making tweets don’t know what it’s like. I think they saw hope that things weren’t as bad as they thought so they took and ran with it. I’m not sure what I can say to tell you to make you feel better or to come back to God. I bet you’ve heard it all: “it’s a priest that did this, not Catholicism, not the entire Church, not Jesus.” And yet that probably just makes you wanna ask “well why would this happen in a Christian environment? Why would God let this happen to me?” I think those are questions you can find answers to when you continue in the Catholic faith and ask God. Some Catholics DO want to understand what you have been through and understand how this has affected you even though there are some things about being in your position we will never understand…. Some Gregorian chants you may like: - creator of the stars of night (conditor alme siderum) - cathedral singers - O Maria Ruben’s Rosa - Gregorian chant academy - corde natus ex parentis - st Olaf choir or St. John cantius choir - Ave verum - cathedral singers - salve festa dies - monks of st Maurice Enjoy this beautiful music. May God bless you. Kyrie Eleison

6:03 I’m pretty sure that graph is showing accusations of sexual abuse by both parties that have happened in the current calendar year. I don’t think it includes accusations of abuse that occurred decades ago, which is what most of these large settlements we hear about are referring to.

And Michael Knowles and Jordan Peterson and others are close to America's Bishop ... Just on Church teachings taught and not taught there is cause for questions... But I've given up on that. Still, if you need a good belly laugh I recommend a recent WSJ/Peggy Noonan essay on the Al Smith luncheon. She refers to 70 million Catholics and the strength of the Church as "golden." I thought about a Letter to the Editor but again ... The last figure I've seen is that on any given Sunday about four plus million Catholics go to Mass.

Until the Catholic Church becomes honest and accountable the Church will keep going down hill .Why are they making excuses for the Catholic Church .They think that defending the Catholic Church is the way to go .80% of the abuse was carried out by Homosexual Clergy .Solution is clean up the Clergy .We should have 0 abuse and this bloke is a total idiot it’s a Catholic Religion it should be the safest place in the world for young men women and children to go to .I am a Catholic

I don't doubt all that Joseph, but the more I intensely reflect on this issue : I think this is always going to be a problem in ANY kind of top-down dogmatic structure, which has the problem of having to manage the "Egalitarian public face of Christianity." Which is the actual problem. If there was no "transparency" or expectation, no-one-would-ever-know. ( How many Orthodox monks and confessors who have asked me, "tell me your sins" are just closet perverts who want to "get off" from "hearing something" I wonder? ) Sometimes all, it takes is a certain inflection in the voice, or how quickly and in what way the statement is meant. I've felt suspicious many times. I think a group is a group. There are factors other than the niceties of theology that actually causes this. Yes, the Catholic Church was founded in 1054. And the Orthodox Churches was founded in 1920. With many different splits on all kinds of trivialities that go on to this day. I'd say both iterations and indeed all iteration of "Christianity" are fairly recent inventions. I might go further in saying, that the Catholic Church was actually founded in Vatican 1, about 1870. And the Orthodox Churches essentially split and reformed in 2007. ( And there are always several splitters even in any mainline Orthodox Church you choose....I count at least 2 different Old Calendarists Russians in my area. ) There is no such thing as a "Christianity" that we can with PRECISE "Truth" say was founded 2000 years ago. That's become a SAD, pathetic and arrogant boast the more I have studied this. They have changed and fought each other so much, that when you actually rip the mask off, you find they are quite average when compared with most other major Asiatic Originating religions. A group is a group. We have no idea how a Priest in 900 would see a Priest in 300 vs, how they would see a Priest in 2020.

Friend, you are effectively arguing in favor of relativism which relegates everything into meaning nothing. Perhaps a study of the church fathers throughout the history of the patristic tradition is what you would need to focus on to see the continuity that has been established throughout the entirety of the history of Orthodox Christianity versus that of the various heterodox Christianities to include papist Catholicism, reform protestantism, etc
