As a South African who is old enough to have been around for the liberation struggle and the establishment of a truly democratic state, I am so grateful to hear someone clearly explain what the solution is for Israel/Palestine. South Africa gives a clear blueprint for what needs to be done. What is wrong with Westerners that they cannot see this and support this? Some very well-informed and intelligent and experienced supporters of Palestinians (like Jeffrey Sachs) still fervently advocate for a two-state solution. Look to South Africa and open your mind! Do you know that apartheid South Africa created the 'Bantustan' states ... one for each ethnic Bantu group (the San people, who are the true indigenous people of the region, lost out and never got their own 'independent' homeland). One of these 'independent' states was even in separate bits, just like this mythical state of Palestine. Proudly 'independent' countries, they were completely dependent on the white-run South Africa, and the latter was completely dependent on these 'Bantustans' for labour and a local market for the goods produced in South Africa. This is just a basic overview, but if people like Jeffrey Sachs would study South African history with an open mind, surely they would see the absurdity of advocating for a two-state solution?

I have a lot of respect for Steve and his growth from the time he was platformed on status coup during the Bernie run to where he is now. I do hope one day, he'll figure out that the red shirt won against the nawt-zee Germany and the axis of Japan and Italy. Also, the US were Johnny come lately because many of the corporate supporters of the above were American corporations. Also, many zio supported the above in the extermination of their own people, assuming they actually believed in the Jewish religion. Nonetheless, thanks to Steve for continuing to do the work.

When he said that he can’t sleep or eat well, I felt emotional because that’s how I feel, I can’t eat or sleep well anymore, I cry when I watch videos about Gaza, how have we allowed this mass slaughter to go on for so long? I suppose it’s a rhetorical question, the West allowed the French massacres in Algeria, Dutch apartheid in South Africa, etc.

Wondering about BRICS though: I keep hearing the Chinese yen is the big threat. Don't bricks countries have to trade in the yen? And what about Brazil's massive destruction of the rainforests? How is BRICS going to be better for the world rather than a version of destruction that's just different than what we have? (Not advocating to keep what we have, just trying to figure out if there is tangible hope with BRICS for this planet)
