Yes, agree. Or he could be invited as regular guest lecturer at the (developing?) online university you've discussed here before. What insight and understanding awaits in learning about u.s. history from revolutionaries like him? In these days, we need this global anti-imperiast, revolutionary, strategic education. I've treasured what for me has been the beginning of this -- learning from you and your tankie compatriots, and the guests that you have. How do we build this discussion, cultivate this organizing, support these vines of communities of revolt, leverage the clarity and insight of movements from around the world? Clearly there is a hunger for this. How do we start it?

He is absolutely correct about our education and political awareness in US. I studied race, racism, the culture of death/dying, epidemiology, and US imperialism as my main focuses. Within two weeks, I would say the majority of my courses were emptied of students who could not listen to fixed universal truths and allow their understanding to evolve or flourish. Even basic discourse and discussion was too uncomfortable and challenging, listening to others experiences too intimidating maybe? A shame really.

The decline of Syria began when they were persuaded to rejoin the Arab League, the same organization that had sought to oust the Syrian government in 2011. This time, the League promised financial assistance and collective defense. With these incentives, they were able to sway the military through monetary influence. Meanwhile, Turkey played a supportive role, and the plot unfolded. This ongoing saga is far from over.
